- At the start of a new objective, read the current objective in the Objectives menu. Note its wording before exploring so you can recognize the matching section in an objective-based walkthrough.
- Keep the higher-level objective in view, too. PowerPyx says the save file shows the broader objective, while the Objectives menu gives the practical progress marker.
- Record your own checkpoint, such as the objective text and the last landmark or obstacle you passed. This is more useful than an invented chapter number when you return to a guide or resume a session.
- Before following a listed location, verify that the guide heading matches your objective. If it does not, stop and identify the current objective rather than assuming the next entry applies.
Objective text is a locator, not proof that an area is fully cleared. Once you have found the expected item or solved the main puzzle, do a separate sweep before taking the route that advances the objective.
Make a full-area sweep before moving on
The most important decision point is the transition out of an area. PowerPyx warns that items can be missed once you leave, and there is no Chapter Select to revisit old sections through a menu. Do not treat the main path or a completed objective as evidence that every collectible has been found.
- Pause at the transition point. Before opening a route, crossing an obvious threshold, or otherwise continuing into a new area, check whether the game is about to move you away from the space you are exploring.
- Reconstruct the area’s layout. Walk back through the accessible routes and check branches you passed while concentrating on the objective. Look for alternate corridors, side rooms, and puzzle alcoves as places to inspect—not as guaranteed locations for a particular item.
- Inspect visible surfaces and interactable-looking spaces. Check desks, shelves, bodies, and containers when they are present. These are sensible sweep targets, not confirmed spawn points for every collectible.
- Revisit the obstacle after solving it. A gate, statue, or puzzle can draw attention away from surrounding spaces. Check nearby accessible areas after the immediate route opens.
- Update your checklist before leaving. Record confirmed finds and unresolved checklist entries. If you cannot establish that an item is collected, do not mark it complete just because the main route is open.
- Advance only after the sweep. Once you are satisfied that the current area has been searched, proceed and update your objective note for the next section.
This routine is intentionally area-based rather than a claim that every object has a known universal location. The available walkthrough provides objective-by-objective routes, but an exact location should be checked against the current route for the objective you are playing.

Use the same order each time so that “I looked around” means something concrete. First follow the main route far enough to understand what is blocking progress, but stop before triggering an irreversible-looking transition. Next, return to any branch you passed and search its accessible spaces. Then inspect the space around the obstacle itself, including nearby surfaces and puzzle alcoves. Finally, trace your route back to the point where you expect to continue and check the objective text once more. This is a method for reducing omissions, not a claim that every area contains an item in each type of location.
If a room is confusing, avoid marking it cleared simply because you have seen its central puzzle. The Genesis Configuration can change traversal as well as solve puzzles, and a route may involve manipulating the environment. Keep track of which direction you entered from and which paths you have already tested. When the space loops or changes, reassess it rather than assuming that the familiar-looking route is the only route.
Solve environmental puzzles by reading the space
The Genesis Configuration—the puzzle box at the center of the game’s puzzle systems—can affect both puzzle solutions and traversal. In a PlayStation.Blog interview published August 19, 2026, Assistant Game Director Vid Rajin described examples that include turning a wheel to align walkways and changing the box’s shape after finding a missing statue piece to open a gate. Those examples show why an exploration sweep should include the environment around the obvious obstacle.

When a statue or gate is missing a piece
If a statue blocks progress or a gate appears to require a specific object, inspect the nearby area for the missing item before repeatedly testing the puzzle box. Rajin’s examples include retrieving a piece such as a tongue or hand and then changing the Genesis Configuration into the corresponding key shape. Treat the shape as a response to the item and puzzle in front of you; the interview does not establish one universal solution for every gate.

When a route appears to loop
Do not assume that forward movement is always the intended answer. Rajin described a looping room where turning back changes the setting, with the Labyrinth itself providing hints. If you return to a familiar-looking place, examine what has changed and consider reversing direction rather than repeatedly taking the same forward route.
When you encounter a safe or picture lock
Search the surrounding room for a clue before trying combinations. Rajin cited a diagram on a desk as an example of a clue near a lock. That is a useful search habit, not a guarantee that every safe or picture lock uses the same clue type or placement.
Use the puzzle as an exploration prompt
When a mechanism does not respond, ask what the room appears to be asking you to find or alter before repeating the same interaction. A missing statue piece points you toward a nearby search, while a wheel that affects walkways suggests checking whether the route changed after you turned it. The developer’s examples demonstrate these kinds of connections, but they are not a universal answer key. Look for environmental hints and then test the relevant change in context.
Track recipes, materials, and coins separately
Recipe progress needs particular care. PowerPyx says the game does not track which crafting recipes you have made, while crafting materials are randomized and limited. A fixed-material-location checklist is therefore not reliable, and the game’s own progress display will not replace your notes.
Keep a recipe checklist
Make 12 recipe entries and mark one only when you have confirmed it in your own playthrough. Record the objective or area where you found it, using the objective wording rather than a chapter number. If you consult an objective-based walkthrough, compare your current objective first and verify its current route before relying on a location.

Separate “recipe found” from “recipe crafted” in your notes if you want to track both stages. The guide’s warning is specifically that recipe progress is not tracked; a personal log prevents you from relying on memory when the game does not supply a dependable checklist.
A compact log can use four columns: objective text, recipe found, recipe crafted, and notes about what remains unresolved. Keep one entry for each of the 12 recipes rather than writing a vague total such as “most recipes.” A total is easy to misremember if you have found a recipe but are unsure whether you also crafted it. The guide’s statement that progress is not tracked is the reason to make this distinction yourself.
Do not assume materials have fixed locations
Because materials are randomized, use a sweep to check what is available in your current area rather than expecting a particular material at a particular spot. The walkthrough also describes materials as limited, so avoid spending them on an assumption that a later supply is guaranteed. Collect coins as you explore
PowerPyx’s walkthrough says coins cannot be farmed and that players cannot buy every possible shop item. Collect them as you proceed, then make purchases deliberately instead of planning to return later and earn more through repeated farming. That limitation makes coins different from an ordinary backtrackable resource. Do not budget on a future farming session to cover a purchase you skipped or to buy everything later.
