These entries should be regarded as candidates, not interchangeable syntax. A key copied into the wrong section, a misspelled filename, or a value in the wrong data type can be silently ignored. Never create several competing entries merely to “cover” different guides.
How to test a file setting safely
- Stop the server and make a copy of the entire configuration directory.
- Search all
.iniand.jsonfiles forPVP,pvp, or a similarly named key. Searching is safer than assuming a path from an older guide. - If

When troubleshooting, inspect the effective startup command before changing several files. A panel can inject a hidden argument, while a service can launch a different script than the shortcut on your desktop. Once the command is clean, test one file key at a time and restart between tests.
Verify the result after every restart
- Check the server browser. Refresh the listing after the server has fully started and look for the mode or rules description.
