Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?
Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minutePC Slower Than It Used to Be?

These are separate actions: hiding or unpinning an icon does not remove the app. Choose the option that matches what you want to change.
Show or hide Copilot on the taskbar
To change the documented taskbar launch control, open Settings > Personalization > Taskbar and use the Copilot toggle if it appears. Microsoft documents turning this control on to access Copilot from the taskbar; the label or availability may differ by Windows build and device.

If Copilot is shown as a pinned app rather than a taskbar toggle, right-click its taskbar icon and choose Unpin from taskbar. This removes the shortcut only; the app remains installed. Microsoft’s general taskbar guidance explains pinning and unpinning apps: Customize the taskbar in Windows.
Change what the Copilot key or Windows+C opens
The Copilot key and Windows+C are ways to launch an app, not controls for installing or removing Copilot. To configure the Copilot key, open Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Keyboard and look for its customization option. Available choices and defaults can depend on your account and installed applications. Microsoft also describes launch and shortcut settings in the Copilot app: Get started with Copilot in Windows.
