How Ubisoft Connect XP works
Ubisoft documents challenges—not simply time spent playing—as the way to earn Connect experience points in supported games. Completing Core Challenges awards XP. Time-limited Challenges can award XP, currencies, or items; check each challenge for its specific task and reward. Challenge availability and rewards vary by game and may change. Ubisoft’s challenge guide explains the categories and claiming process.

Complete and collect a challenge
- Open Ubisoft Connect from the game page, the Connect menu, or the in-game Ubisoft Connect overlay.
- Choose Challenges, then open Core or Time-Limited.
- Select an available challenge and complete the task shown in its description. Some rewards may require an additional task, such as participating in a live phase.
- Return to the challenge and select Collect. Completing the task alone may not claim the reward.
On Ubisoft Connect PC, Ubisoft says challenges can be found from the game’s page or the overlay. Support is limited to selected games, so check the specific title’s Connect page rather than assuming every Ubisoft game has challenges.

XP is experience that contributes to your Ubisoft Connect level. Units are a separate loyalty currency that can be used to unlock eligible in-game Rewards or, where offered, discounts in the Ubisoft Store. A challenge that awards XP does not necessarily award Units; read its displayed reward instead.

Ubisoft describes Connect as a free service that requires a Ubisoft account. The actions eligible for Units and the available rewards can change, so consult the current terms and your local Store before relying on a particular offer.
Redeem Units for game rewards
For a supported console game, open Ubisoft Connect from the game’s main menu, go to Rewards, select an eligible reward, then choose Get it. Ubisoft says an unlocked reward is available in-game the next time you launch. Ubisoft also supports accessing and redeeming rewards on PC. If the Rewards tab is absent on console, Ubisoft says that game does not support Connect rewards: Ubisoft’s console instructions.

Availability, regions, and timing
Which games offer challenges or rewards depends on the title and platform. Ubisoft does not provide a comprehensive current list of supported games in the cited help information; the live Challenges and Rewards tabs are the practical check.

The en-US terms say Units may take up to 48 hours to appear after an eligible action and that Ubisoft may change eligible actions and rewards. They also contain a historical provision stating that newly acquired Units had a 24-month expiration period from acquisition beginning April 1, 2019. Because terms and balances are subject to regional rules and change, check your account and current regional terms for the applicable details: Ubisoft Connect en-US terms.
