For marks and sketches in 3D, Apple highlights the optional Logitech Muse spatial stylus alongside compatible creative apps. For ordinary text, visionOS provides app-based text entry, and Apple’s visionOS 2.4 announcement describes Writing Tools for refining text. Neither capability means that every app supports freehand drawing, or that Apple Pencil works directly with Vision Pro.
Two different ways to draw or write
Apple calls Vision Pro a spatial computer and describes visionOS interaction through eyes, hands, and voice. That is the platform’s general input model, not a guarantee that every app supports handwriting recognition, pressure sensitivity, or a particular drawing workflow. Apple’s 2023 introduction to Vision Pro sets out that general interaction approach.

- Spatial drawing and design: Create marks, sketches, or annotations in a three-dimensional workspace using an app that supports the relevant workflow. Apple’s App Store editorial page describes Logitech Muse and several example apps. Apple’s Muse and creativity-app feature

Vision Pro also lets people open multiple apps and arrange them in their space. That makes spatial windows useful for working alongside creative apps, but arranging windows is distinct from drawing in 3D. Apple Support’s overview of using apps on Vision Pro
Using Logitech Muse for spatial drawing
Apple describes Logitech Muse as a digital pencil for writing, designing, and drawing in three dimensions on Vision Pro. It is an optional spatial stylus, not a general promise that any app will recognize a stylus. Apple’s editorial page pairs Muse with specific creative apps, so check an app’s current listing for compatibility and supported functions before relying on it.

Annotate models with Spatial Analogue
Apple’s page says Muse can be used in Spatial Analogue to annotate 3D models, add measurements, and provide product feedback. It also describes estimating dimensions by drawing a line between two points. These are features described by Apple’s editorial page, not independent test results.
Make 3D art with AirDraw
Apple presents AirDraw as an app for creating 3D artwork with Muse, with options to change colors and materials and add physics.

Sketch and model with Crayon
Apple lists Crayon for 3D sketching, freeform drawing, and modeling. The available examples show distinct creative workflows; they do not establish that Muse works with every Vision Pro app.
Writing text and using Writing Tools
For conventional writing, Vision Pro supports working in app windows; Apple’s Support overview explains how users can open and arrange apps. In its March 31, 2025 announcement about visionOS 2.4, Apple said Writing Tools could rewrite, proofread, and summarize text nearly everywhere users write, including Mail, Notes, and many third-party apps. Apple also described ChatGPT Compose. These are text-generation and editing capabilities, not confirmation of handwriting recognition or Apple Pencil input.

That same March 2025 announcement said initial Apple Intelligence availability on Vision Pro required the device and Siri language to be set to U.S. English, with availability varying by region. This is a dated, version-specific statement; it should not be read as a guarantee of current availability in every region or software version. Check Apple’s current feature and language availability information before depending on it.

A 2026 research prototype called SpatialPrompt explored generating 3D assets from spatial sketches and voice prompts using Vision Pro, Logitech Muse, and Meshy. Its abstract describes a heuristic evaluation, which suggested an intuitive workflow while identifying the need for faster generation and clearer feedback. This is a research project, not evidence that Vision Pro includes a standard built-in feature for turning sketches into 3D models. SpatialPrompt research abstract

Apple’s named app examples make clear that spatial drawing is possible through particular accessory-and-app combinations. They do not establish the stylus’s current price or retail availability, compatibility with every app, or direct Apple Pencil support. Confirm current accessory and app details with their respective listings.
