Share a BrowserStack Screenshots session
- Open BrowserStack Screenshots, enter the page you want to capture, and choose the browser and device configurations.
- Click Generate Screenshots. BrowserStack updates the URL with a unique job ID for the current session.
- Copy and send that URL to your collaborators. If they open it while screenshots are still being generated, they can see the processing state.

Reopen completed results
If you leave the session and need to return to completed screenshots, check the History dropdown in the URL bar. BrowserStack Support says completed screenshots are available there; see its previous screenshots FAQ.

For code-driven retrieval, use the job ID from the generated session URL in the Screenshots API request. The response includes an image_url for each completed screenshot. Fetch the image at the returned URL to save it. The documented API route is GET /screenshots/<JOB-ID>.json; consult BrowserStack’s Screenshots API documentation for request details and response structure.

BrowserStack states that this API is available to Automate plans that include browsers. Subscribers with Live-only plans can use Screenshots through the webpage, but the API route is not established for those plans.
Is there a Download button?
The BrowserStack support and API documentation cited above explain sharing by URL, reopening completed results through History, and retrieving images from API-provided URLs. They do not establish that the current Screenshots results page has a dedicated GUI control labeled Download. If you need the image files, use the documented API image URLs rather than assuming a button or menu exists.

Do not confuse Screenshots with Automate Visual Logs
BrowserStack Screenshots creates a cross-browser screenshot session with a shareable job URL. Automate Visual Logs belong to a different workflow: their screenshots appear in the Automate dashboard. To save a Visual Logs screenshot locally, capture it explicitly in your test script and save it; dashboard visibility alone is not a local download.
