To turn off a Safari extension across your iPhone, go to Settings > Apps > Safari > Extensions, select the extension, and switch off Allow Extension. To disable it only on the website you’re viewing, use Safari’s Page Menu > Manage Extensions controls instead.
Turn off an extension across Safari
- Open Settings on your iPhone.
- Tap Apps, then Safari.
- Tap Extensions.
- Select the extension you want to disable.
- Turn off Allow Extension.
Apple documents this path in its Safari extensions guide for iPhone. If the labels or path on your phone differ, your iOS version may use different menus; Apple’s guide does not provide a version-by-version history.

Disable an extension for one website
- Open the website in Safari.
- Tap the Page Menu button beside the search field.
- Tap Manage Extensions.
- Turn off the extension for that site.
This site-specific control leaves the extension available elsewhere. It does not uninstall the extension or change its overall Safari setting. Apple explains this option in its iPhone guide to Safari extensions.

If you use Safari profiles, check the profile you’re browsing with. Apple says an extension must be turned on for each profile where you want to use it, so its availability or behavior can differ between profiles. The setting is in Settings > Apps > Safari > Extensions.

Understand what happens in Private Browsing
Apple says extensions that have access to browsing data are automatically turned off in Private Browsing. That automatic behavior applies to Private Browsing; it is separate from switching off Allow Extension in Safari settings. See Apple’s guide to private browsing in Safari on iPhone.

Turning off Allow Extension disables the extension in the selected Safari settings context. To remove it instead, find its app icon on the Home Screen, touch and hold the icon, tap Delete app, and follow the onscreen instructions. Apple documents removal in its Safari extensions guide.
