Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →To screen disposable email addresses during signup, validate the address in your application and check it against a disposable-email detection API. Run the request from your backend unless the provider explicitly offers a browser-safe integration. Treat the result as a domain or provider signal—not proof that a specific mailbox exists or can receive mail—and decide in advance whether each result should allow, warn, or block registration.
What a disposable-email check tells you
A detection service usually checks an address or its domain against provider data. Depending on the service, it may also report syntax, DNS or MX records, privacy-relay status, role accounts, plus aliases, blocklists, confidence, or a suggested action. The exact signals vary by API; for example, DISIFY lists several of these checks, while isitdisposable.com documents separate signals and configurable actions.

A negative disposable verdict means the service did not identify the address or domain as disposable using its available data. It does not establish that the mailbox exists, belongs to the registrant, or will accept your message. If you need evidence that a user can receive email, use a confirmation message as a separate step.

| Service | What its documentation describes | What to consider |
|---|---|---|
| DISIFY | Core checks are described as available without signup or an API key, including syntax, DNS/MX, and disposable indicators. The vendor also lists relay detection, bulk validation, downloadable lists, plus-alias detection, and confidence scoring. | Confirm which features are available without charge for the specific endpoint you will call. |
| isitdisposable.com | Documents a backend REST API, a browser form snippet, configurable actions, and batch checks of up to 100 addresses. Its documentation distinguishes publishable keys, restricted to configured origins, from secret keys, which are server-side only. It also describes fail-open behavior in certain conditions. | Review how its fail-open behavior affects your signup flow. Do not put a secret key in browser code. |
| IsTempMail | Its documentation states that the free plan includes 200 checks per month and describes a list of 130k+ providers updated multiple times daily. It also documents an account/token-based API and a WordPress plugin path. | The quota and provider-list size are vendor-reported claims, not independent measurements. Plan for false negatives and confirm current terms. |
| SkipSend | Documentation says no signup or API key is required, with 2,000 requests per IP per month and a limit of one request per second. The response includes disposable status and no_mx; its skip flag is set for disposable addresses, missing MX, or Cloudflare-routed domains. |
Because skip combines different conditions, inspect the individual fields before treating it as grounds for rejection. |
| Check-Mail | Documents an account and API-key flow, a free-plan statement of 1,000 lookups per month, and the option to check a domain rather than submit a full address. | A domain-only request may reduce the information sent, but review the provider’s privacy terms and technical behavior directly. |
For a meaningful comparison, check authentication, request limits, returned signals, batch support, list-update claims, error behavior, data handling, and integration effort—not just the word “free.” The available vendor documentation does not establish a comparable privacy ranking or independent accuracy score.
Integrate the check without weakening signup
- Validate basic syntax in your application. A disposable-email API is not a substitute for checking whether the submitted value is shaped like an email address.
- Call the API from a trusted backend. This keeps secret credentials out of client-side code. If you use a provider’s documented browser snippet, use only the publishable key intended for that purpose and follow its origin restrictions. The isitdisposable.com documentation explicitly distinguishes its publishable and secret keys; Check-Mail documents account/API-key access.
- Map signals to a signup action. Choose whether to allow, warn, ask for a different address, or block. A known disposable-provider match might receive different treatment from a privacy relay or a public email provider. The signals and actions available depend on the service; do not assume every API provides the same distinctions.
- Handle incomplete checks explicitly. Decide what happens on timeouts, rate limits, quota exhaustion, malformed responses, and unchecked results. For example, isitdisposable.com documents fail-open responses that can include
checked: falseand an allow action for specified conditions such as quota exhaustion, inactive service, or overload. IsTempMail says customers choose their failure policy and notes that most fail open. An allow action in an error case is not a mailbox verification result. - Use email confirmation when receipt matters. Send a confirmation message and require the user to complete the flow if you need evidence that they control an inbox that can receive your email.
Choose fail-open or fail-closed deliberately
A fail-open policy lets signup continue when the detector cannot return a usable result; a fail-closed policy stops or delays signup until a check succeeds. Neither is right for every site. Consider the cost of letting disposable addresses through alongside the cost of blocking a legitimate user because an external service is unavailable or a quota is exhausted. A warning or confirmation path can be a middle option for uncertain results.

- Certified with the new FIDO2 standard, T110 provides the benefit of fast login and strong protection against phishing, account takeover as well as many other online attactks.
- Works with : Bank of America, Github, Google, Microsoft, DUO, Twitter, Facebook, Dropbox, Apple, ebay, BINANCE, mor and more.
- Fits USB-A port : Insert the T110 security key into the USB-A port of each service and log in conveniently with one touch
- For the driver download and user guide, please visit TrustKey Solutions Home support page.
- Allow: Useful when signup continuity matters more than strict screening, or when a check is unavailable. Record that the address was unchecked rather than treating it as verified.
- Warn or request confirmation: Useful when a result is ambiguous or when rejecting a legitimate address would cause avoidable friction.
- Block: Consider only when the service returns a signal your policy treats as sufficient, and provide a clear route for users who believe their address was incorrectly flagged.
Before sending submitted addresses to a vendor, review its current allowed-use rules, retention practices, and privacy terms. The vendor documentation cited here is not enough to establish a comparative privacy or detection-accuracy ranking.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFor WordPress signup forms
IsTempMail documents a WordPress plugin path alongside its account/token-based API. Check the plugin’s current compatibility, configuration requirements, and plan limits before installing it. If you build or maintain your own integration instead, keep secret tokens on the server and apply the same explicit action and error policies as for any other signup form.
