Clear saved autofill information in Edge
This bulk-removal option is documented for Edge on Windows 10 and Windows 11. It can remove saved form details such as email addresses, credit-card information and shipping addresses. The time range you choose affects what is cleared.

- In Edge, select Settings and more (the three-dot menu), then Settings.
- Open Privacy, search, and services.
- Under Clear browsing data, select Choose what to clear.
- Choose the desired Time range.
- Select Autofill form data (includes forms and cards). Leave other categories unchecked if you only want to clear autofill information.
- Select Clear now.
Review the categories before clearing: selecting passwords, cookies, history or other items will clear those too. Microsoft’s instructions are in View and delete browser history in Microsoft Edge.
Remove one detail or stop Edge saving new details
To manage specific types of information rather than clear autofill broadly, open Edge’s profile settings. Depending on the version, the controls may appear under Profiles or within Passwords and autofill. If a label is not visible, search Settings for “autofill,” “personal info” or “payment info.” Microsoft identifies edge://settings/profiles as a direct route to the current Passwords and autofill section.
#1 Best Overall
Personal information
Open Settings > Profiles > Personal info to manage basic or custom information. Turn off Save and fill basic info or Save and fill custom info to stop Edge saving and suggesting the corresponding details.
Payment information
Open Settings > Profiles > Payment info to manage saved cards or turn off Save and fill payment info. Payment-card saving availability can vary by region.
Rank #2
Passwords
Password saving and autofill have separate controls under Profiles > Passwords. Clearing the autofill form-data category is not the same as clearing saved passwords; avoid selecting the password category if you want to keep them.

Check whether deletion will affect synced devices
If sync is on, clearing synced data may remove it from other devices signed in to the same Edge profile. Microsoft says turning sync off is the documented way to clear data only on the current device. Check the sync setting before clearing if you need to preserve copies elsewhere; personal information and other selected data types can sync, and payment information syncs between devices signed in with the same Microsoft account.
Data stored in Microsoft’s cloud has a separate management route through the privacy dashboard. Deleting cloud data there does not delete the copy stored on your device. See Microsoft Edge, browsing data, and privacy for the device-versus-cloud distinction and dashboard guidance.

What InPrivate does—and does not do
InPrivate clears data created during the session when all InPrivate windows close. Microsoft says it deletes browsing history, cookies and site data, as well as passwords, addresses and form data. But an InPrivate window can use saved passwords and form-fill information from the profile that opened it, and extensions may still save browsing history. Use the normal profile’s settings to remove existing autofill entries or disable future saving; InPrivate does not erase those profile entries.
See Microsoft’s Browse InPrivate in Microsoft Edge guidance.

If you are looking for Edge Wallet
Microsoft says Edge Wallet is retired. Saved passwords, payment details and personal information are managed in Passwords and autofill settings. Data formerly held in Wallet’s Memberships section is no longer accessible, according to Microsoft’s Wallet is retired in Microsoft Edge notice.
What clearing Edge cannot remove
These controls address information saved by the browser or associated Microsoft account. They do not remove information a website independently keeps in your account or records; manage that information with the website itself.
