What deleting a call log removes
Recents is the Phone app’s list of incoming, outgoing, missed, and rejected calls. An entry may show a contact name or phone number, call time, duration, and which SIM was used. Samsung’s instructions describe removing entries from this history; they do not establish that doing so deletes carrier-held records or copies kept by other services. If you need those records removed, check with the carrier or service that holds them.

Delete all calls or choose specific entries
- Open the Phone app and tap Recents.
- Tap the three-dot More options menu, then tap Delete.
- Select All to clear the displayed history, or select only the individual entries you want to remove.
- Tap Delete to confirm.

Delete just one call
On Samsung’s US support workflow, you can touch and hold a call in Phone > Recents, then tap Delete. Samsung also says multiple calls can be selected and deleted together. Samsung US: manage call logs.

If the menus look different
Samsung notes that menu names and steps can vary with the phone model, region, carrier, and software version. If you do not see the options above, consult the manual for your exact device or your local Samsung support page. Samsung US support and Samsung UK support describe the relevant workflows and device variation.
Can you restore deleted call history?
Samsung UK documents restoring backed-up data from Settings > Accounts and backup > Restore data. Restoring call history depends on having a suitable prior backup. Deleting entries from Recents does not show that an earlier backup was also erased; Samsung’s restore guidance describes recovery, not deletion of backup copies. Call-log deletion is not the same as other Phone app actions
- Deleting a call log removes a record from Recents.
- Blocking a number is a separate action; deleting its entry does not itself block it.
- Deleting a contact is separate from removing one or more call entries.
- Deleting a recorded-call audio file is separate from deleting the call’s history entry.
