To show a Salesforce AI product rename clearly, capture the same page in its old and current states with the same URL, browser conditions, and account state. Confirm the exact old and current product names
Start with authoritative product material, not a third-party article or a guess based on the rename announcement. Record the former label and current official name exactly as they appear in the relevant product materials. Product names and brand assets can change, so check the official materials again immediately before publication.

Make a short inventory of the URLs where the old name appears. For each URL, note the page state that makes the name visible: for example, a public landing page, a logged-in product screen, or a particular account or record. The inventory is your capture plan, not a Salesforce-prescribed standard.

Keep the before-and-after captures comparable
A comparison is useful only if the rename is the meaningful difference. Record the capture conditions and hold them steady between the old and current versions:

- Exact URL and relevant page, account, or content state
- Browser and browser version
- Viewport width and height, browser zoom, and device scale
- Locale and logged-in or logged-out state
- Capture date and whether the page reflects the former or current name
Use the same conditions for both captures. If a page’s content or account state has changed for reasons unrelated to the rename, note that limitation rather than presenting the images as a controlled comparison. Save the original image files and keep a record of the capture conditions.
Capture each state accurately and label it clearly
- Capture the old state only when it is legitimate and representative. Use an archived or retained page only if it accurately reflects the earlier product experience. Do not alter a current page to make it appear to be the old version.
- Capture the updated state after the rename is live. Reuse the same URL and conditions where possible. If the page or access state has changed, describe what differs.
- Preserve context. Keep enough of the page visible to identify the site and relevant content. Crop for layout only when needed, and do not crop away context that changes the meaning of the image.
- Label both images. State the product name and capture date, and identify which image shows the former and current state. Do not imply the images were captured at the same time if they were not.

Use Salesforce brand assets and names carefully
Salesforce Brand Central identifies the cloud logo as the primary logo choice, and the horizontal logo as an option when space or composition makes the cloud logo or name less legible. Its current digital minimum-width specifications are 40 pixels for the cloud logo and 96 pixels for the horizontal logo; the guidance also includes clear-space rules. These are Salesforce logo specifications, not recommended screenshot dimensions. Check the live guidance before publication because brand materials can change. Salesforce Brand Central describes its resource as a place for updated guidelines, toolkits, and style principles.

When the image depicts Salesforce software
Salesforce’s screenshot rules are narrower than general advice for capturing your own website. Salesforce says software screenshots are permitted solely for educational tutorials or to demonstrate a product’s integration with Salesforce. It requires accurate depictions, clear attribution of whose product is shown, and says: “Don’t alter screenshots, except to resize or to redact sensitive information.” The guidance also states: “The screenshot must accurately portray how the product works.” Avoid third-party content without permission, and do not expose identifiable people or personal information. Read the current Salesforce Intellectual Property guidance before publishing a software screenshot.
That restriction applies to screenshots depicting Salesforce software; it is not a general rule for screenshots of a publisher’s independent website. Do not retouch a Salesforce software screenshot to make the rename more dramatic. If sensitive information must be removed, redact it; do not change other elements of the image.

Make the rename understandable and accessible
Do not rely on a logo alone to communicate the product identity. Give each image concise alt text describing the meaningful change, for example: “The product page uses the former name in the dated capture; the current page displays the renamed product.” Adapt the wording to the actual images rather than implying that a page element changed when it did not.
If the rename concerns company branding inside a Salesforce app, account for accessibility as well as visual consistency. Salesforce describes the Lightning App header company logo as decorative and recommends descriptive app naming, app-page branding, or login-page customization when identity needs to be conveyed accessibly.
