You can build a continuous Marathi lofi radio feed by looping rights-cleared audio and visuals through FFmpeg, then sending the encoded stream to YouTube Live. The basic chain is: prepare media you are allowed to broadcast, create a YouTube stream and copy its ingest URL and stream key, configure FFmpeg, test the preview, and monitor the broadcast. A looping command does not guarantee uninterrupted service: network, process, copyright, and YouTube session limits all need a plan.
What you need before starting
- A computer or hosted machine that can run FFmpeg continuously, with enough encoding capacity and stable upload bandwidth for your chosen settings.
- A Marathi lofi audio program and visual material whose rights cover your intended YouTube livestream, territory, duration, and monetization.
- A YouTube channel with live streaming available, and access to YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room.
- An installed FFmpeg build. Confirm the options supported by your version with its documentation and test the actual media before going public.
This guide assumes the visual and music are already available as files. It does not establish that any particular music, image, or video is cleared for use. FFmpeg encodes and sends media; it does not grant broadcast rights.

Clear the music and visuals for live use
Use original work, material in the public domain where applicable, or a license that explicitly permits the planned YouTube livestream, territories, duration, and monetization. Keep permission records for every track and visual. If a rights holder uses Content ID, verify whether your channel must be allowlisted; a license alone may not prevent a live interruption if the channel is not on the rights owner’s allowlist.

A detected match can replace the live picture with a placeholder, interrupt the stream, or terminate it if the issue continues. Review YouTube’s live-stream copyright guidance before broadcasting.

Create the YouTube Live event and protect its key
- In YouTube Studio, open Live Control Room and create a stream or schedule one. Scheduling also gives viewers a watch page and the option to set a reminder.
- Open the stream’s settings and copy the current server/ingest URL and stream key. YouTube supports custom stream keys and reused stream settings; use the current values shown in Live Control Room rather than a guessed or old endpoint.
- Treat the stream key like a password. Do not place it in a public script, screenshot, repository, or chat. If it is exposed, replace it in YouTube settings.
- Set the title, description, category, and visibility you intend, then leave the event ready for preview. Follow YouTube’s current encoder setup steps at Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder and review stream settings management.
Choose a file layout and loop plan
One file with audio and video
A single prepared file is the simplest input: audio and visuals stay in one timeline, and the command needs only one input mapping. Inspect the loop join first. A hard cut at the end can create an audible click, silence, or abrupt visual jump.
Separate audio and visual files
Separate inputs let you change the visual without rebuilding the music program, but require explicit stream mapping and attention to duration and synchronization. Validate how each file loops and what happens if their lengths differ; do not assume FFmpeg will create a pleasing transition automatically.

FFmpeg’s -stream_loop -1 input option repeats an input indefinitely. The -re input option reads at the file’s native rate (equivalent to -readrate 1), which is useful when sending a file as live-like output instead of consuming it as fast as possible. FFmpeg options generally apply to the next input or output, so placement matters; see the FFmpeg command-line documentation.

ffmpeg -re -stream_loop -1 -i visual.mp4
-map 0:v:0 -map 0:a:0
-c:v libx264 -pix_fmt yuv420p -preset veryfast
-r 30 -g 60 -b:v 2500k -maxrate 2500k -bufsize 5000k
-c:a aac -b:a 128k -ar 44100
-f flv "rtmps://YOUR_YOUTUBE_INGEST/YOUR_STREAM_KEY"
In that example, input options come before -i; mapping and encoding options apply to the output that follows. The video settings illustrate 30 fps and a 60-frame GOP, corresponding to a two-second keyframe interval. The 2,500 kbps video rate is only an example and is not YouTube’s recommended rate for every resolution. The placeholder destination is not a real endpoint.
If audio is a separate file
For separate inputs, loop and pace each file deliberately, then map video from the visual input and audio from the music input. The exact command depends on input lengths, whether the visual has an unwanted audio track, and how you want loop boundaries handled. For example, the mapping concept is -map 0:v:0 -map 1:a:0 when the first input supplies video and the second supplies audio; this fragment is not a complete command. Test timestamps, synchronization, and end-of-file behavior with your actual assets before using it on a public stream.

Set encoder values for YouTube
YouTube’s current encoder guidance recommends RTMP/RTMPS input, H.264 video, constant bitrate (CBR), and a two-second keyframe interval (do not exceed four seconds). Use its resolution- and frame-rate-specific table rather than treating one bitrate as universal. The values below are YouTube’s recommended H.264 rates for these particular modes in guidance accessed in 2026, not guaranteed minimum upload speeds.
Recommended Free Tools
| Output mode | YouTube recommended H.264 video bitrate | Two-second GOP at this frame rate |
|---|---|---|
| 480p at 30 fps | 3 Mbps | 60 frames |
| 720p at 30 fps | 6 Mbps | 60 frames |
| 1080p at 30 fps | 14 Mbps | 60 frames |
For the RTMP/RTMPS workflow, YouTube recommends 128 kbps stereo audio at a 44.1 kHz stereo sample rate. Its encoder settings also support frame rates up to 60 fps; consult the current table for the combination you plan to send. YouTube transcodes the incoming stream into viewer playback options, but that does not compensate for a weak upload connection or an overloaded encoder. Prefer RTMPS for encrypted ingestion and run an upload speed test with headroom above the selected video and audio rates. Official recommendations can change; check YouTube’s encoder settings and bitrate table before launch.

Start the broadcast and verify it as a viewer
- Start FFmpeg and check its output for connection errors, encoder errors, or repeated timestamp warnings.
- Wait for the incoming feed to appear in Live Control Room preview. Check that the right visuals and audio are present, audio is audible and clean, and the aspect ratio and motion look correct.
- Start or make the event live using the appropriate Live Control Room control for the event. Verify the public watch page from a separate viewer perspective.
- During operation, watch YouTube’s stream health and messages as well as the FFmpeg process and host. Keep logs and an operator procedure for restarting the encoder.
YouTube recommends testing with media that includes audio and movement similar to the intended broadcast. Its live streaming tips cover preparation and monitoring.
Plan continuity: a loop is not uptime
-stream_loop -1 repeats an input while the FFmpeg process continues; it does not restart a crashed process, repair a failed internet connection, or ensure YouTube accepts a reconnection. FFmpeg documents a FIFO muxer recovery mode for temporary network failures and protocol-specific reconnect options, but available behavior varies by protocol and build. Reconnecting an input is not the same as restoring the output connection to YouTube. See the FFmpeg all-documentation reference and protocol documentation; rehearse your restart path rather than relying on a flag as an end-to-end guarantee.
- For a local machine, account for power loss, sleep settings, operating-system updates, home-router failures, and upload interruptions.
- For a hosted machine, account for process supervision, network and host failures, and how an alert reaches a person who can act.
- Keep the input files and a known-good command accessible, with the secret key stored securely. Test recovery before committing to a public schedule.
- Monitor both YouTube stream health and the encoder. A running process alone does not prove that viewers are receiving a healthy stream.
YouTube’s encoder setup guidance says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. A nominal 24/7 broadcast should therefore include a plan for YouTube session boundaries and a way to verify the platform’s current behavior; do not assume one archived stream will cover an indefinite broadcast. Check the current encoder setup guidance when planning the event.

Troubleshoot common failures
| Symptom | Likely area to check | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| No preview in Live Control Room | Ingest URL, stream key, network access, or FFmpeg output connection | Copy the current URL and key again from the event settings, check FFmpeg’s error output, and confirm the event is in the expected state. |
| Video appears but audio is missing | Input has no audio stream or mapping points to the wrong input | Inspect the file’s streams, then map the intended audio explicitly. For separate files, map audio from its actual input index. |
| Audio and picture drift or loop awkwardly | Separate input durations, timestamps, or poor loop joins | Test the exact assets for synchronization and transitions; revise the media or mapping rather than assuming the loop will align itself. |
| Stream health shows instability or dropped frames | Upload capacity, bitrate, host load, or connection instability | Check YouTube stream health and host load, test the actual upload path, and choose a supported bitrate/resolution combination your connection and encoder can sustain. |
| FFmpeg exits after a network interruption | Output reconnection and process recovery | Inspect protocol and FIFO recovery options supported by your build, then rehearse a supervised restart. Do not assume protocol reconnect settings guarantee YouTube-side recovery. |
| Placeholder video, interruption, or stream termination | Third-party content match or rights-holder restrictions | Review YouTube’s copyright notice, confirm permissions and allowlisting with the rights holder where needed, and do not simply relaunch unchanged material. |
| Broadcast stops at a session boundary | YouTube event/session handling | Check the current Live Control Room state and setup guidance, then follow your planned restart or new-session procedure. |
