In the source section, right-click an empty area and select Copy section. Avoid right-clicking an individual element; that opens the separate element-copy workflow.

Right-click an empty area inside the destination section and select Paste section.
The pasted section is placed below the selected destination section. On macOS, Control-click on the trackpad to open the context menu, as the instructions specify.

Sections this workflow does not support
Section copy-and-paste does not work with blog or store sections. The supported procedure is for other website sections.
Copying a whole section versus an element
Use Copy section and Paste section to reuse a complete section. To copy a single element instead, right-click that element and choose Copy, then right-click empty space in the target section and choose Paste. The element workflow supports one element at a time and lists Ctrl+X, Ctrl+C, and Ctrl+V shortcuts for Windows; those shortcuts are not documented for copying whole sections.

When to duplicate or add a section instead
If you want another instance of a section using its section controls, use Duplicate. To create a new section rather than copy an existing one, the editor’s section controls let you insert one between existing sections and choose a section type or a blank section. The section guide covers those options.

Review the result in the relevant page view, including mobile. Desktop element reordering does not automatically carry over to mobile, and mobile elements may need separate sorting. That guidance does not establish exactly how every copied section behaves on mobile, so treat the mobile review as a layout check rather than assuming the desktop arrangement will be suitable.
