On vivo China’s listed 12 GB/256 GB prices, the Ultra costs CNY 2,400 more. That is a China-specific launch-price comparison, not a universal or current retail gap.

What is the price difference?
China: a like-for-like base configuration
vivo’s China X300 product page search result lists CNY 4,599 for the 12 GB/256 GB X300. The X300 Ultra page lists CNY 6,999 for the same memory and storage configuration, a calculated difference of CNY 2,400. The Ultra page dates its listed pricing to March 2026. Why there is no reliable universal gap
For India, vivo’s store displayed ₹83,999 for the X300 12 GB/256 GB at the time checked, but the comparison shown there selected the X Fold6 rather than the X300 Ultra. That does not establish a current, like-for-like Indian price difference. vivo India X300 product page
A March 31, 2026 TechRadar launch report described the Ultra’s starting price as CNY 6,999 and availability as China-only at that time. That launch-time availability statement should not be treated as current: vivo now has X300 Ultra product or specification pages for India and Singapore. Local stock, official sale status, warranty, price and configurations still need to be checked in the buyer’s market. Dedicated focal lengths, not just a larger megapixel number
vivo China lists the Ultra’s rear cameras as a 200 MP 35 mm ZEISS documentary lens, a 200 MP 85 mm ZEISS telephoto and a 50 MP 14 mm ZEISS ultra-wide. It specifies optical image stabilization across the rear cameras, autofocus, 3.7× optical zoom on the telephoto camera and video recording up to 8K. vivo India identifies the modules with Sony LYTIA 818 (50 MP ultra-wide), Sony LYTIA 901 (200 MP 35 mm) and HP0 (200 MP 85 mm telephoto) sensors. vivo India describes a ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 with a 200 mm-equivalent focal length and a Gen 2 Ultra with a 400 mm-equivalent focal length. Those advertised focal lengths apply when the compatible extender is attached to the X300 Ultra and the Telephoto Extender switch is enabled in the camera app. They are optional accessories, not a claim about the phone’s built-in lens reaching those focal lengths on its own. vivo India X300 Ultra accessory information
vivo’s India page says the Photographer Kit is sold separately and compatible with the X300 Ultra. Its listed contents include a 16 GB/1 TB phone, both extenders, an Imaging Grip, lens caps, adapter and mount rings, a strap, case and tripod collar. Singapore’s Imaging Grip Kit is also listed as separately sold and compatible with the Ultra. vivo specifies a built-in 2300 mAh battery and says advanced grip features are enabled by an OTA software update. Which one should you choose?
Choose the X300 for a smaller, lighter flagship
The X300’s published 150.57 × 71.92 mm body and 190 g weight make it the more compact option. It still has a triple rear camera system on vivo Global’s specification page. It is the more natural fit if pocketability matters more than the Ultra’s dedicated 35 mm and 85 mm camera arrangement or extender compatibility. vivo Global X300 specifications

Choose the X300 Ultra for its screen and camera options
The Ultra suits buyers who want a larger 6.82-inch display, the dedicated 35 mm and 85 mm camera modules, or the option to add compatible telephoto extenders. Its listed typical battery capacity is higher in the China and Singapore specifications, but capacity alone does not predict how long a phone will last between charges.
