Then open the PDF to check that the transaction details are visible. A browser PDF preserves the page as rendered; it does not prove that the payment posted to your bank account.
Save the receipt webpage as a PDF in Android Chrome
- Open the receipt webpage in Chrome on your Android device.
- Tap More → Share → Print.
- In the print preview, select Save as PDF.
- Choose where on your device to save the file, then save it.
- Open the PDF and check the page layout and the transaction details you need, such as date, amount, and UPI transaction ID.
These steps are documented for Chrome on Android, not as universal instructions for desktop browsers, iOS, or other mobile browsers. For another platform, check that browser’s print or save options.

Choose the right record for your purpose
A saved webpage, a payment app’s transaction record, and a bank statement have different scope and provenance. Keep the record that fits the task, and verify important transactions against account activity.

Verify the payment against the bank statement
Compare the date, amount, and UPI transaction ID with the bank statement. Google Pay’s guidance describes checking a sender debit or recipient credit against the statement, and Federal Bank notes that UPI transactions on an account appear in the bank statement. If the receipt is in Google Pay
Google Pay offers app-based record options as an alternative to printing a webpage. In the app, open See transaction history and find the transaction. From its details, you can share an individual transaction. For a period-based record, the help page documents More → Get Statement to export a PDF or e-statement for a selected transaction-history period. These are Google Pay options, not features to assume are available in every UPI app.
Google Pay states: “Your transaction history only contains those made through Google Pay and not all UPI or banking transactions.” Its history should therefore not be treated as a complete list of all UPI activity on your bank account. Google Pay Help: View transaction history

Google Pay also documents invoices for recharges, but says invoice service for other transaction types is unavailable. A recharge invoice is separate from saving a receipt webpage or exporting transaction history. Google Pay Help: Download invoices for recharges on Google Pay
Other UPI apps and record options
App navigation and record features differ. NPCI and BHIM describe transaction-history screens, while PhonePe describes reviewing transaction records in its History section. Those sources do not establish a PDF export feature shared by all providers. Check the help for the app that handled the payment rather than assuming it can create a single-transaction PDF. Troubleshooting the saved PDF
- Receipt details are cut off: reopen print preview, inspect the page layout, and adjust available print settings before saving again. If the required field still is not present, use the payment app’s transaction details or the bank statement as the appropriate record.
- The page is blank or incomplete: confirm the receipt is fully loaded in Chrome before printing, then preview the PDF before relying on it.
- You cannot find a PDF export in your UPI app: do not assume all providers offer one. Use the app’s documented history or sharing option, or save the receipt webpage through the browser workflow above.
- The receipt and statement do not appear to match: compare the date, amount, and UPI transaction ID and consult the bank or payment provider if the discrepancy remains.
