To pair Skullcandy earbuds or headphones with an iPhone, put the accessory into pairing mode, then open Settings > Bluetooth on the iPhone and tap the accessory when it appears. The button sequence for pairing mode varies by model, so use the instructions for your exact Skullcandy product.
Before you start: make the Skullcandy device discoverable
Charge and turn on the earbuds or headphones, and keep them near the iPhone. Use the product’s instructions to enter pairing mode—sometimes labeled “Pair New Device.” There is no single button sequence established for every Skullcandy model.

Pair Skullcandy earbuds or headphones with your iPhone
- Put the accessory in pairing mode. Follow the instructions for your exact model and leave it discoverable.
- Open Bluetooth settings on the iPhone. Go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn Bluetooth on.
- Select the Skullcandy device. Wait for its name to appear in the device list, then tap it. If the accessory asks for a PIN or passcode, follow its own instructions.
Apple’s guide to connecting a third-party Bluetooth accessory to an iPhone or iPad describes this process. Pairing is complete when the accessory connects and is shown as connected in Bluetooth settings.

If your Skullcandy device does not appear or connect
- Check power, charge and distance. Make sure the accessory is on, sufficiently charged and close to the iPhone.
- Check pairing mode. If this is a first-time pairing, confirm the accessory is discoverable using its model-specific instructions.
- Power-cycle the accessory. Turn it off, turn it back on, and try pairing again.
- Disconnect it from other devices. If it is connected to another phone, tablet or computer, unpair or disconnect it there before trying again with the iPhone.
- Forget an old iPhone pairing and retry. In Settings > Bluetooth, tap the information control beside the accessory, choose Forget This Device, then put the Skullcandy device back into pairing mode and repeat the pairing steps.
Apple recommends checking proximity, charge, power and discovery mode, and trying again after unpairing when needed. Its Bluetooth accessory connection troubleshooting guide also advises consulting the accessory manufacturer for model-specific instructions and compatibility questions.

If the accessory still will not connect after these checks, confirm its exact model and follow that product’s pairing instructions or contact Skullcandy support. Do not assume a reset or button combination for another model will apply to yours.
