To connect Samsung Galaxy Buds to Android, open the case with the earbuds inside and follow the route for your phone: use the Galaxy Wearable app on a non-Samsung Android phone, or QuickPair/Bluetooth on a Samsung Galaxy device running One UI 8. If the earbuds are not discovered, put your specific Buds model into pairing mode and select it from the phone’s Bluetooth settings.

Pair Galaxy Buds with a non-Samsung Android phone

Put both earbuds in their charging case and open the lid.

Open the Galaxy Wearable app on your phone. Select the Buds when they appear, then follow the on-screen pairing steps.

If prompted, install the Galaxy Buds Manager component, sign in to your Samsung account, and allow the requested permissions.

Samsung Japan lists Android 7.0 or later and at least 1.5 GB of RAM for Galaxy Wearable support. These are app-support requirements on that regional Samsung page, not general requirements for Android Bluetooth pairing. Put your Buds model into pairing mode
If the phone cannot find the earbuds, pairing mode may not be active. Samsung’s instructions differ by generation; identify your model before using a control sequence. After activating pairing mode, open the Android phone’s Bluetooth settings and select the Buds. Settings names can differ by phone and software version. If the controls on your earbuds do not match these directions, check the instructions for that exact model rather than trying another generation’s sequence.
Fix connection and discovery problems
Work through these checks in order. Samsung recommends restarting and removing a saved pairing before escalating; a factory reset is not the first step in the cited troubleshooting guidance.

Check pairing mode and distance. Use the sequence for your Buds generation, keep the earbuds and phone close together, and retry discovery.

Reduce possible interference. Move away from other devices or locations that may disrupt the Bluetooth connection, then try again.

Restart both devices. Restart the earbuds and the phone or other device you are connecting.

Remove the old Bluetooth entry and pair again. In the phone’s Bluetooth settings, unpair or forget the saved Galaxy Buds entry. Put the earbuds back into pairing mode and select them again.

Check for software updates. Check the phone and earbuds for available updates using the applicable device settings or Galaxy Wearable app.

What happens after the first pairing?
Once connected, some models may reconnect when you open the case. Samsung UK describes automatic reconnection after setup for Galaxy Buds and Buds+; do not assume that behavior applies to every Buds generation or phone. Samsung UK’s connection guidance
Successful Bluetooth pairing establishes a connection, but the sources do not establish that every Galaxy Buds feature works on every Android phone. The available controls and app support can depend on the Buds model and phone.
