Then select that speaker input—and, on a computer, the correct playback device. Logitech models use different connections, including USB, Bluetooth, 3.5 mm, RCA, optical, coaxial, and multichannel analog, so check the speaker’s input panel and manual before plugging in.
Before connecting: identify the speaker input and source output
Look at the ports on the speaker or its control unit and the audio outputs on the device you want to use. A cable works only when its ends match ports that both devices support. For a basic wired computer setup, Logitech’s general instruction is to connect the speaker cable to the computer sound card’s “Line Out” or “Speaker” jack; consult the computer or sound-card documentation if you cannot identify it.

Depending on the model, Logitech speakers may accept USB, Bluetooth, 3.5 mm auxiliary, RCA, optical, coaxial, or multichannel analog audio. Do not assume that a connection available on one Logitech system is available on another.

Connect Logitech speakers to a computer
Basic wired speakers
- Connect the speaker’s audio cable to the computer’s Line Out or Speaker jack.
- Turn on the speakers and select the corresponding input if the model has input controls.
- If the computer remains silent, open its sound settings and choose the Logitech speakers or the relevant sound device as the playback output.
USB, Bluetooth, or 3.5 mm models
Follow the model’s instructions for the connection you choose, then verify the computer’s playback output. Logitech documents USB, Bluetooth, and 3.5 mm auxiliary connections for the G560. Its support guidance says the G560 may need to be set as the computer’s default audio output. Full LIGHTSYNC features require a USB connection and Logitech Game Software; features are limited when using Bluetooth or 3.5 mm.
#1 Best Overall
- Versatile setup with speakers that connect easily to computers and other devices via Bluetooth wireless or 3.5mm cable
- Logitech Easy-Switch technology lets you seamlessly switch between audio devices Just by pausing the Audio on one device and pressing play on the other
- Each speaker has one active/powered driver that delivers full range Audio and ONE passive radiator that provides bass extension.
- On-speaker headphone jack Plus convenient controls for easy access to Bluetooth wireless pairing, power and Volume adjustments, Bluetooth version: 4.2
- Works with Bluetooth enabled devices and any device with a 3.5mm input including a computer, television, smartphone, tablet and music player
The Z407 supports Bluetooth, USB, and 3.5 mm auxiliary. It defaults to the last connection used; use the dial controls to switch between wired and Bluetooth inputs. Logitech says it can pair with up to eight Bluetooth source devices and connect to two at once.
Connect a computer to the Z906
The Z906 accepts computer audio through optical, coaxial, six-channel analog, or stereo 3.5 mm/Aux. For optical or coaxial, connect to the matching Z906 input and select it on the control console. For six-channel analog, match the computer sound-card outputs to the color-coded Z906 inputs. For stereo analog, connect to the green 3.5 mm input or Aux and select that input.

- Convenient Control Pod
- 25 Watts (RMS) Output
- Compact Subwoofer
Not every computer sound card supports surround output. A multichannel-capable speaker cannot create source channels that the computer or its audio settings do not provide.
Connect Logitech speakers to a TV
Check the TV’s available audio outputs and the speaker’s documented inputs, then use a matching connection. For example, Logitech documents RCA and 3.5 mm analog inputs on the Z337, while the Z906 has optical, RCA, coaxial, and 3.5 mm inputs. These are model examples, not a promise that every TV or Logitech speaker has those ports.

- Balanced audio sound with depth - 2 Watts Peak/ 1.2 Watts RMS power produces immersive and crystal clear sound.
- Simple and quick USB connection. Just plug the speakers into your computer USB-A port. An orange LED stays lit when your speakers are on. Disconnect the USB-A cable to power off.
- Easy controls. You can easily control the volume or mute on the front of the right speaker to get great audio experience.
- They are slim, lightweight and easy to move around so you can accommodate your setup and get perfect sound wherever you are.
- Your long lasting product set with a solid build quality.
- Connect the TV’s audio output to a compatible input on the speaker using the appropriate cable.
- Select that input on the speaker or its control unit.
- If there is still no sound, check the TV’s audio output setting and confirm that it is sending audio through the connection you used.
TV menu labels and available output formats vary by model. For a Z906 digital connection, the source’s audio format and the content affect what the system can decode and whether surround sound is available.
Connect Logitech speakers to a game console
Z906
Logitech’s console guide names optical connections for Xbox, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 2/3, and RCA for the original PlayStation and Nintendo Wii. Select the matching input on the Z906 control console after connecting. These directions cover the console generations named in Logitech’s guide; for a newer console, check its manual and available audio outputs rather than assuming it has the same ports or settings.

G560
Logitech says PS4 users can configure the G560 as a USB sound device or use its 3.5 mm input for sound. Its guidance describes 3.5 mm audio for other consoles. The custom game-driven LIGHTSYNC effects require USB connection to a computer running Logitech Gaming Software; do not expect those computer features to work through a console connection.

A console’s ability to output 5.1 does not mean every game, film, or streamed program carries surround sound. The console, connection, output configuration, and content all matter.

Fix Logitech speakers with no sound
Start with the selected input and signal path before changing more complicated settings. These checks draw on Logitech’s model-specific guidance, especially for Z337 and Z906, and may not map exactly to every model.
- Check power and input: Confirm the speakers are on and the correct wired or Bluetooth input is selected. The Z337 defaults to its last-used input; the Z407 input can be changed with its controls.
- Check the computer output: Select the Logitech speaker or relevant sound device as the computer’s playback output.
- Check Bluetooth: Confirm the source is connected and is the device actually playing audio. For diagnosis, disconnect other active Bluetooth sources; if needed, unpair and pair again.
- Check analog cabling: For 3.5 mm or RCA, make sure the cable is firmly seated at both ends. Try a known-good cable or another source if available.
- Check volume: Raise volume on both the source device and the speakers.
- Check Z906 digital audio: Select the matching optical or coaxial input and confirm the source and media settings use a supported format. Logitech lists Dolby Digital, DTS, and PCM among the Z906’s digital formats.
Choose among connection options
When more than one connection is available, choose based on the ports and features you actually need.
Quick Recap
- Port match: Verify that the source output and speaker input are compatible before choosing a cable.
- Wireless versus wired: Bluetooth is an option only on models that support it; other models require a supported cable connection.
- Computer setup: A computer may need its playback device changed after you connect the speakers.
- Stereo versus surround: Multichannel audio depends on the source hardware, output configuration, connection, and content—not just the speaker system.
- Model-specific features: Some features are restricted to a particular connection. For example, G560’s full LIGHTSYNC features require USB and Logitech Game Software on a computer.
