Clockify’s Peppol e-invoicing add-on sends invoices created in Clockify through the Peppol network. It is installed from the CAKE.com Marketplace, rather than enabled with a simple invoice-form toggle. The sender and each recipient need valid Peppol IDs. Clockify says it sends outgoing invoices in Peppol BIS 3.0; that alone does not establish that the setup meets every country’s legal or accounting requirements.
What the Clockify–Peppol integration does
The add-on provides a workflow for sending Clockify invoices to clients over Peppol, then reviewing sent-invoice status and handling reported failures. Clockify describes the outgoing format as Peppol BIS 3.0. Its documentation does not establish that the add-on handles every part of incoming invoice processing or replaces an accounting system.

Clockify’s help page calls the format “legally compliant Peppol BIS 3.0.” Treat that as Clockify’s product claim, not an independent determination that a particular invoice or business meets all applicable rules. Clockify’s add-on instructions and its integration overview describe the product workflow.
What you need before setup
- A Clockify plan with access to invoices. Clockify’s help article says the add-on is available on Standard or higher; CAKE.com’s May 28, 2026 announcement names Standard, Pro, and Enterprise. Check the current Marketplace listing for eligibility and terms.
- A Peppol ID for your business, along with its company name, address, and tax ID.
- A Peppol ID and company details for each client you intend to invoice through Peppol. Clockify says it checks whether a client is registered.
- A suitable add-on tier for your monthly outgoing invoice volume. Clockify lists Starter for up to 20 invoices per month and Growth for up to 100; the help page does not state prices.
The limits and eligibility above come from Clockify’s help article. The CAKE.com launch announcement is dated May 28, 2026. Because plan wording differs between these pages and Marketplace terms can change, verify both before subscribing.

Install and configure the add-on
- Open the CAKE.com Marketplace, find the Peppol e-invoicing add-on, and install it for the Clockify workspace you want to use.
- Open the workspace’s add-on settings. Enter your company name, address, tax ID, and Peppol ID, then connect e-invoice.
- Open the add-on’s Clients tab and add each client’s company details and Peppol ID. If Clockify cannot verify a client’s registration, it displays an error; check the ID and registration before trying to send.
Send an invoice and track its status
- Open the invoice you intend to send and choose Send via Peppol from the add-on actions menu. Clockify says it sends the outgoing invoice in Peppol BIS 3.0 format.
- Open Sent invoices to review the invoice history and Peppol status.
- If an invoice fails, read the displayed reason, correct the missing or invalid information, and use the retry action.
Important: Clockify warns that choosing Send to Peppol on the main invoice screen sends all invoices shown on that page. If you mean to send only one, use the action on that individual invoice.

Check local requirements beyond sending
A Peppol connection is not, by itself, proof that your entire invoicing process complies with the rules where you operate. Requirements can involve receiving and processing structured invoices as well as sending them, and the sources describing this Clockify add-on establish its outgoing workflow—not complete accounting coverage or compliance in every jurisdiction.

For Belgium specifically, the Federal Public Service Finance says the obligation for structured e-invoicing took effect on January 1, 2026. Its June 26, 2026 guidance says businesses need software connected to Peppol to send, receive, and process structured invoices, and advises checking support for both sending and receiving. The government also says its software list is not comprehensive and is not a quality evaluation or certification. See the Belgian government guidance; do not apply its date or rules to other countries.

When this add-on may not cover the whole workflow
If your requirement includes receiving and processing supplier invoices, country-specific format support, or integration with accounting software, verify those capabilities separately with Clockify and the relevant authority. The available Clockify product descriptions explain outgoing sending, client registration checks, status visibility, and retries; they do not establish the full set of capabilities or legal requirements for every business.
