Connect Bluetooth headphones to Nintendo Switch
- Update the console if an update is available, then put your headphones or earbuds into pairing or discoverable mode. Use the device maker’s instructions for pairing mode.
- From the HOME menu, open System Settings > Bluetooth Audio, then choose the option to pair or add a device.
- Select your headphones when their name appears. To reconnect a saved device later, turn it on and select it under Bluetooth Audio if it does not reconnect automatically.
Nintendo supports the A2DP Bluetooth profile and SBC codec for Bluetooth audio, but does not guarantee that every specific headphone model will operate correctly. Use a compatible wireless headset
For wireless audio, choose a headset identified as PS5-compatible that connects over USB, or a supported PlayStation Link headset using its USB adapter. Sony documents PULSE Elite and PULSE Explore connection through an included PlayStation Link USB adapter on its PS5 support page. Use a wired headset

- For Switch: Use the built-in Bluetooth Audio pairing menu if audio-only listening meets your needs and the controller and local-communication limits are acceptable.
