To connect a Bluetooth-capable Xbox One controller to a Samsung tablet, put the controller into pairing mode, then select it in the tablet’s Bluetooth settings. Not every Xbox One controller revision supports Bluetooth, and pairing alone does not guarantee that a particular game accepts controller input.
Connect the controller over Bluetooth
- Turn on Bluetooth on the tablet. Open the tablet’s Settings and go to its Bluetooth controls.
- Turn on the controller. Press the Xbox button.
- Put the controller in pairing mode. Press and hold the Bind button on the top of the controller for three seconds, then release it.
- Select the controller on the tablet. Return to Bluetooth settings and tap the controller when it appears in the available-device list. Samsung’s Galaxy instructions say to tap Scan if it is not listed. Samsung’s Galaxy controller-pairing instructions document this procedure for a standard Xbox Bluetooth controller; a tablet’s exact labels can differ by One UI and Android version.
On Android, Google documents the general route as Settings → Connected devices → Pair new device, followed by selecting the controller. The wording and location may vary on a Samsung tablet. Google’s Android pairing instructions describe the general flow.

Check that your Xbox One controller supports Bluetooth
Do not assume every Xbox One controller can pair wirelessly with a tablet. Samsung’s instructions apply to a “standard Xbox Bluetooth controller,” while Xbox describes mobile use in terms of supported or compatible devices. Check the exact controller model or its documentation for Bluetooth support before troubleshooting the tablet. Samsung support · Xbox mobile gaming information

If the controller does not appear
- Confirm the controller is on and that you held the top Bind button for three seconds to enter pairing mode.
- In the tablet’s Bluetooth settings, run Scan and look again for the controller.
- Reduce possible radio interference: move away from nearby radio-transmitting devices or temporarily disconnect other Bluetooth devices. Samsung’s troubleshooting guidance recommends these checks; a missing listing by itself does not establish that the controller is faulty. Samsung support

The available guidance does not establish a universal cable or adapter for every tablet and controller combination, so check the ports on both devices before choosing one.

Pairing does not guarantee game support
Bluetooth pairing connects the controller to the tablet; the game must separately support controller input. Check the controls or support information for the specific game you want to play.
For Xbox Cloud Gaming, Xbox lists Android phones and tablets running Android OS 12 or later among supported options, subject to supported devices and regions.
