To play phone audio through a JBL PartyBox, put the speaker in Bluetooth pairing mode, enable Bluetooth on your phone, and select the PartyBox’s model-specific name from the phone’s Bluetooth device list. The button or source selection can differ by model, so use the speaker’s own controls and manual if these steps do not match.
Pair your phone over Bluetooth
- Turn on the PartyBox.
- Select Bluetooth as the source if your model has a source selector. JBL’s instructions for the PartyBox 110 include selecting Bluetooth before pairing. JBL’s PartyBox connection guidance covers several models, but controls are not identical across the range.
- Press the speaker’s Bluetooth button to start pairing mode.
- Open Bluetooth settings on your phone and switch Bluetooth on.
- Choose the PartyBox name shown in the available-device list. The exact name depends on the model; JBL manuals give “JBL PartyBox 110” and “JBL PartyBox 100” as examples. PartyBox 110 manual · PartyBox 100 manual
- Start playback on your phone. Once paired, the phone can stream audio to the speaker.
If the phone does not connect
The phone asks for a PIN
For the PartyBox 100 and PartyBox 110, JBL specifies 0000 if a PIN is requested. This is documented for those two models; check your model’s manual if you have a different PartyBox.

The speaker is not listed
Confirm that the PartyBox is in Bluetooth pairing mode, then check the phone’s Bluetooth device list again. If it still does not appear, consult the manual for your exact PartyBox model; the available instructions do not establish one reset or phone-settings procedure that applies to every model and phone.
The speaker reconnects to another phone
The PartyBox 100 and 110 manuals describe reconnecting to the last phone used. If the speaker does not connect to the phone you want, open that phone’s Bluetooth settings and manually select its PartyBox entry.

Playback cuts out or the connection is unreliable
Move the phone closer and reduce obstacles or other environmental interference. JBL says Bluetooth performance depends on both distance and operating environment. The PartyBox 110 manual’s pairing illustration labels a distance of under 10 m (33 ft), but that is model-specific guidance, not a guaranteed working range.
You have paired many phones
The PartyBox 100 and 110 can each remember up to eight paired devices. The PartyBox 110 manual says pairing a ninth replaces the first saved device. If you are using another model, check its manual for its own memory behavior.

Can two phones connect at once?
JBL’s general support article says two devices can be connected at the same time; to hear audio from the second, stop playback on the currently playing device and use the other. Treat this as general JBL guidance rather than a rule for every PartyBox, because model manuals may describe different behavior.
Use an AUX cable instead
JBL documents a 3.5 mm AUX input on the PartyBox 100 and PartyBox 110. Connect the phone’s compatible audio output to the speaker with a 3.5 mm audio cable; JBL says the cable is not included. Check your phone’s connector and any required adapter, and verify AUX support in your PartyBox model’s manual. The available documentation does not establish AUX input for every PartyBox.
