To connect a Bluetooth mirror for audio, switch on the mirror’s speaker, put it into pairing mode if required, then select its exact Bluetooth name in your phone’s Bluetooth settings. The control, device name and confirmation light differ by model, so check the mirror’s manual before following steps. Also distinguish audio pairing from setting up a smart mirror in an app: those are separate processes.
Before you pair, identify the mirror and the task
Find the mirror’s brand and model, then check its manual for the Bluetooth device name and pairing instructions. Some speakers enter pairing mode automatically; others require a button press. A blinking light or icon may indicate pairing mode, while a solid light may confirm connection.

Decide whether you want to stream phone audio or commission the mirror in a phone app or smart-home system. Bluetooth audio pairs the phone as a speaker source. App setup may use Bluetooth only as one stage of commissioning and then continue over Wi-Fi or through a smart-home platform.

Pairing instructions for documented mirror models
ad notam Smart Mirror: stream phone audio
- Turn on Bluetooth on your smartphone.
- Open the phone’s Bluetooth settings and select ad notam BT to pair and connect. The vendor says this model does not require a password or PIN.
- Start music on the phone. Adjust the Bluetooth stream with the phone’s volume buttons.
ad notam states that the typical indoor audio range for this mirror is 10 m. Actual range can vary with the layout and surroundings, so treat that as the vendor’s typical figure rather than a guarantee for every home.

iHome Hollywood Pro
- Turn on the speaker.
- On the back, hold the Bluetooth button for three seconds. The microphone icon on the front should blink to show pairing mode.
- In the phone’s Bluetooth settings, select iHome Hollywood Pro. The microphone icon glows solid when connected.
If you need to clear a previous connection on this model, iHome’s instructions say to hold the Bluetooth button for ten seconds, then try pairing again. Do not use that reset sequence on another model unless its instructions say to.
iHome iCVBT7
- Turn on the speaker with its power/Bluetooth button.
- Hold that button to enter pairing mode and look for the blinking blue LED.
- In the phone’s Bluetooth settings, select iHome iCVBT7.
If the mirror does not appear or audio does not play
- The mirror is not listed: Make sure the mirror is powered on and the phone’s Bluetooth is enabled. Keep the phone near the mirror while pairing, and look for the exact device name given in the model’s instructions—not a generic name such as “Bluetooth speaker.”
- The phone says it is connected, but there is no sound: On the ad notam Smart Mirror, another connected user may be the cause. Its FAQ says several smartphones may be connected, but audio plays from one at a time: the phone whose user most recently pressed play. Disconnect and reconnect if needed.
- Pairing still fails: Restart both devices, then pair from the phone’s Bluetooth settings. Testing the phone with another Bluetooth device can help determine whether the problem is with the phone or the mirror. Samsung’s general Bluetooth guidance notes that settings and steps may vary by device and software version.
- You are setting up an app-controlled mirror: Do not treat app commissioning as audio pairing. For the LIFX Mirror, setup uses Bluetooth on the phone and proceeds through a Matter code or manual Wi-Fi flow. If setup stalls, LIFX advises checking Wi-Fi, reopening the app, restarting the mirror and entering the Matter code manually if scanning fails.
Model-specific details matter
Names, controls and confirmation cues in the examples above apply only to the named products. The ad notam FAQ also says its auto-connect feature is disabled for security reasons; that behavior is specific to that mirror. Check your own model’s documentation before assuming it needs no PIN, supports multiple connected phones, uses a particular reset method or has the same range.
