To loop Bengali songs in an OBS stream, add a local audio or video file as a Media Source, enable Loop, check the audio and picture, then connect OBS to YouTube Studio with the stream URL and key. For several tracks, use OBS’s VLC Video source as a playlist. Before broadcasting, make sure you have permission to livestream the exact recordings and visuals you plan to use; a song being Bengali or available online does not establish those rights.
Before you configure OBS: clear the exact music and visuals
Confirm that your permissions cover livestream distribution of the specific compositions, sound recordings, artwork, and video footage in your loop, as well as the territories where you plan to stream and any archive YouTube retains. Permission to listen privately or upload a file elsewhere does not by itself grant livestream or archive rights.

YouTube scans live streams for matches to third-party content. If you have a license, ask the rights holder whether your channel must be added to its Content ID allowlist. YouTube says a licensed stream can still be interrupted if the channel is not allowlisted. Its guidance describes platform detection and channel allowlisting; it does not determine whether your particular license covers a particular song. YouTube’s copyright guidance for live streams
Set up a loop in OBS
Loop one Bengali song file
- Create a scene: In OBS, add a scene, or select the scene you want to use.
- Add the file: In the Sources dock, click +, choose Media Source, and select the local audio or video file. OBS lists common supported formats including MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, MP3, AAC, OGG, and WAV. See the OBS Media Sources guide.
- Enable looping: In the Media Source properties, turn on Loop. The file will start again when playback reaches its end.
- Check the output: Play the source and watch the Audio Mixer meters. Confirm that the intended audio is moving the meters and that the preview shows the full picture without cropping or unwanted overlays. OBS sources are layered according to their order in the Sources list.
Loop a playlist of several tracks
For multiple files, add a VLC Video source, put the tracks in the desired order, and enable playlist looping. This option requires VLC installed on the same computer; OBS notes that a 64-bit OBS installation needs 64-bit VLC. For a single file, the built-in Media Source is simpler. Check that the playlist advances and returns to its beginning during your test. OBS Media Sources

Fix missing or incorrect audio and framing
- If the Audio Mixer meters do not move, verify that the media source is playing and that OBS is capturing the intended audio. For device selection, open Settings → Audio and select devices manually if needed.
- If the picture is blank, cropped, or obscured, check the selected file and the source’s position, size, and order in the Sources list.
- Listen to the test output, not just the meters: movement confirms signal activity but does not by itself confirm that the right track is audible at a suitable level.
For the core scene and source workflow, see the OBS Quick Start Guide and OBS Sources Guide.
Connect OBS to YouTube Live
- Open YouTube Studio: Choose Create → Go Live and configure or select the broadcast in Live Control Room. If this is your first time enabling live streaming, YouTube says activation may take up to 24 hours. YouTube’s encoder setup guide
- Copy the connection details: If OBS offers YouTube as a streaming service, select it and follow the connection prompts. Otherwise, copy the stream URL and stream key from YouTube into OBS’s stream settings. Treat the key like a password: anyone with it may be able to send a stream to your channel.
- Start OBS output and check the preview: Start streaming in OBS. For a scheduled broadcast, wait for the feed preview in Live Control Room, check the picture and sound, then click Go live there. Starting the encoder feed and making a scheduled event public are separate actions.
Test, monitor, and finish the broadcast
Run a short test before the intended broadcast. OBS recommends testing for a few minutes rather than starting a first stream without checking it. Confirm that the loop plays, audio is audible, framing is correct, and YouTube receives the feed. The OBS Auto-Configuration Wizard can choose initial streaming settings based on your computer and network. If dropped frames increase, OBS Help says the connection may be unstable or unable to sustain the chosen bitrate. OBS Quick Start Guide · OBS Help Portal

When you stop, check the resulting archive and its rights coverage. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived; archived live streams may receive Content ID claims after the broadcast. That 12-hour figure is YouTube’s operational guidance, not a guarantee about a particular stream’s rights outcome. YouTube encoder guide · YouTube copyright guidance

| Symptom | Likely cause | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| The file stops after one playback | Loop is not enabled for the Media Source, or playlist looping is not configured. | Open the source properties, enable Loop, and test through the end of the file or playlist. |
| There is no sound in the stream | The source is not playing, the wrong device is selected, or the expected audio is not reaching the mixer. | Watch the Audio Mixer while the file plays; check Settings → Audio and listen to the test output. |
| The video is blank, cropped, or covered | The wrong media file is selected or source placement and layer order are incorrect. | Check the preview and the source’s size, position, and order in the Sources list. |
| YouTube does not receive the OBS feed | The stream URL or key is missing or incorrect, or the channel is not yet enabled for live streaming. | Recheck the Live Control Room connection details. If live streaming was just enabled, activation may take up to 24 hours according to YouTube. |
| The connection drops frames | The network may be unstable or unable to sustain the selected bitrate. | Run a test and, if dropped frames continue to rise, choose settings your connection can sustain. OBS Help describes rising dropped frames as a sign of connection instability or insufficient capacity. |
| A licensed music stream is interrupted or claimed | YouTube has detected third-party content; the channel may not be allowlisted, or the license may not cover the use or archive. | Contact the rights holder about Content ID allowlisting and confirm the license covers the exact livestream and archive. Do not assume a license alone prevents interruption. |
