In 91Mobiles’ published comparison, the Dimensity 8500 Ultra leads the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 in both AnTuTu and Geekbench. Those figures are a useful snapshot, not a controlled, phone-for-phone verdict: the comparison does not document equivalent devices or a testing protocol, and MediaTek’s official materials call its chip Dimensity 8500—not Dimensity 8500 Ultra.
Which processor is faster?
By the benchmark results listed by 91Mobiles, the Dimensity 8500 Ultra is substantially ahead. The comparison reports a higher AnTuTu total and higher single- and multi-core Geekbench scores. Treat this as a result reported for that comparison page, not a guarantee that every phone using one chip will outperform every phone using the other.

The page does not provide enough device, software, or test-protocol detail to establish a like-for-like comparison. Benchmark scores alone also do not establish sustained gaming performance, heat, battery life, or everyday responsiveness.
How do the reported benchmark scores compare?
The following figures are from 91Mobiles’ comparison page, accessed in 2026. Its AnTuTu and Geekbench summary figures do not fully match the detailed sections, so the table uses the detailed-section results and notes the conflicting summary values.

| Benchmark | Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 | Dimensity 8500 Ultra |
|---|---|---|
| AnTuTu total, detailed section | 889,090 | 2,136,906 |
| Geekbench single-core | 1,016 | 1,725 |
| Geekbench multi-core, detailed section | 2,979 | 6,657 |
There are two internal discrepancies on the 91Mobiles page: its AnTuTu summary row gives the Dimensity 8500 Ultra 2,155,265 rather than 2,136,906, and its Geekbench summary row gives it 6,860 rather than 6,657 for multi-core. The Snapdragon AnTuTu summary and detailed figures both show 889,090. Because the page does not explain the differing Dimensity values, they should not be combined or presented as a single settled score. See 91Mobiles’ comparison and its reported figures.
What specifications does the comparison report?
91Mobiles lists both processors as octa-core chips made on a 4 nm process. Its comparison reports the following headline specifications; these are claims on that comparison page, not independently established here.

What does MediaTek officially say about Dimensity 8500?
MediaTek’s product page describes Dimensity 8500, without the “Ultra” suffix. It specifies eight Arm Cortex-A725 CPU cores: one up to 3.4 GHz, three up to 3.2 GHz, and four up to 2.2 GHz. It also lists Mali-G720 MC8 graphics, 6 MB of L3 cache, 5 MB of system-level cache, LPDDR5X four-channel memory up to 9600 Mbps, and UFS 4 with MCQ. MediaTek’s Dimensity 8500 product page provides those platform specifications.

MediaTek announced Dimensity 8500 on January 15, 2026, describing it as an energy-efficient 4 nm chip with eight Cortex-A725 cores running at up to 3.4 GHz. The announcement says peak GPU performance is 25% higher and GPU power consumption is 20% lower than the previous generation; these are MediaTek’s claims, with the comparison stated against that previous generation. The announcement does not use “Ultra,” so the available sources do not establish whether that label denotes the same chip implementation, an OEM-specific name, or a regional variant. A processor name or peak benchmark score is only one part of a phone decision. Compare the actual handsets, including sustained performance under load, heat, game and API compatibility, battery, display, cameras, software support, price, and regional availability. The cited scores favor the Dimensity entry, but the available comparisons do not rank complete phone experiences across those factors.
91Mobiles associates the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 with Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G, POCO X8 5G, Moto G57 Power, Moto G Max, and Moto G57; it associates the Dimensity 8500 Ultra with Redmi Turbo 5, POCO X8 Pro, and Xiaomi 17T. These model and chipset associations can vary by market or release, so confirm the exact regional model and chipset before buying.
