Which phone should you buy?
Choose the Nord CE 5 5G if battery capacity and charging matter most
OnePlus lists a 7,100mAh battery and 80W SUPERVOOC charging. Those are larger rated capacity and higher wired charging figures than Nothing’s published numbers. They make the Nord the more obvious specification-led choice for buyers who prioritize battery size and charging rate, but do not establish how long either phone lasts or exactly how quickly it charges during your use. Choose the Phone (3a) if you want a dedicated optical-zoom camera
Nothing lists a 50MP telephoto camera with 2× optical zoom alongside its main and ultrawide cameras. The comparison listing for the Nord names a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultrawide, without a dedicated telephoto camera. That gives the Phone (3a) the more explicitly documented telephoto hardware; it does not prove that its photos are better overall. Nothing Phone (3a) product page.

Do not pick on processor names or screen numbers alone
The phones use different platforms: Dimensity 8350 Apex in the OnePlus and Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 in the Nothing. The available specifications do not establish a controlled, independent head-to-head speed result. Both are listed with 6.77-inch, 120Hz displays, so size and refresh rate are near parity rather than a clear deciding point. Panel descriptions and figures are not a comparative visual test.
Battery and charging: what the numbers tell you
OnePlus lists 7,100mAh and 80W SUPERVOOC for the Nord CE 5 5G; Nothing lists 5,000mAh and 50W charging for Phone (3a). These are manufacturer-rated specifications, not an endurance comparison or a measured charge-time test. Actual battery life and charging time depend on use and charging conditions, so avoid treating the capacity or wattage gap as a guaranteed difference in hours or minutes. Camera differences: telephoto flexibility versus overall quality
The key documented hardware distinction is the Nothing’s dedicated 50MP telephoto camera and 2× optical zoom. Its India product page also lists a 32MP front camera. The 91mobiles comparison gives the Nord a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide and a 16MP selfie camera; the Nord selfie figure is third-party listing data, not independently confirmed by the OnePlus product-page material cited here. Camera resolution and lens configuration alone cannot determine image quality across everyday scenes.
