Felix Mobile plans at a glance
Felix has four main plan tiers. Two provide a fixed monthly allowance that can accumulate when you do not use it; two provide unlimited data but impose a speed ceiling. The table uses standard monthly prices, not temporary introductory offers.
| Plan | Included data | Standard monthly price | Advertised maximum speed | Best fit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 25GB | 25GB each month, with unused data banked | $30 | Up to 150Mbps on compatible 5G/4G devices | Light to moderate users with variable usage |
| 50GB | 50GB each month, with unused data banked | $35 | Up to 150Mbps on compatible 5G/4G devices | Users who regularly exceed 25GB or want more headroom |
| Unlimited | Unlimited data | $40 | Up to 40Mbps | People who want unlimited usage for ordinary mobile activities |
| Unlimited+ | Unlimited data | $50 | Up to 80Mbps | Heavy users who download large files and have suitable 5G access |
The 25GB and 50GB plans have the same advertised speed cap. Paying $5 more for 50GB buys another 25GB of monthly allowance, not a faster connection. Moving from 50GB to Unlimited costs another $5 and removes allowance tracking, while reducing the advertised cap from 150Mbps to 40Mbps. Unlimited+ adds $10 to Unlimited for an 80Mbps cap.

Felix describes these speeds as maximums. They are not average results or guarantees that your phone will reach the number every time.
How to compare the speed caps
150Mbps plans: speed when you still have allowance
On compatible 5G or 4G devices, the 25GB and 50GB plans are advertised at up to 150Mbps. The cap is the same on both tiers, so speed should not determine which capped plan you select. Your decision is primarily about how much data you need and whether banking unused data has value for you.
A maximum of 150Mbps can be ample for HD video, video calls, music, web browsing, app downloads and most phone-based tasks. Actual performance depends on the handset, radio conditions, your location, congestion and coverage. A busy cell site can deliver much less than the advertised ceiling even when your phone supports 5G.

Unlimited at up to 40Mbps
Felix’s Unlimited plan is described as “Unlimited mobile data at speeds up to 40Mbps.” That removes the need to watch a monthly allowance, but the connection cannot exceed the plan’s stated cap. Felix gives approximate requirements of about 3Mbps for HD video, 0.5Mbps for music streaming and 0.1Mbps for social-media browsing. On those assumptions, 40Mbps is enough for normal individual mobile use, including HD streaming, music, social feeds and video calls.
Large downloads and uploads take longer at 40Mbps than they would at a higher cap. A theoretical 10GB download at a sustained 40Mbps would take roughly 34 minutes before network overhead and variation; this is an illustration, not a promised result. Real throughput can be lower because of coverage, congestion, device limits or the server supplying the file.

Unlimited+ at up to 80Mbps
Unlimited+ is advertised as “Unlimited data at speeds up to 80Mbps.” The plan requires a compatible 5G device and 5G coverage. Without both, you cannot assume the 80Mbps experience. Where the conditions are met, the higher ceiling can cut waiting time for large game updates, cloud backups, operating-system downloads and other sizeable files.
The $10 monthly difference between Unlimited and Unlimited+ buys a higher cap, not a larger data allowance: both plans are unlimited. It is most defensible for people who repeatedly transfer large files and notice the 40Mbps limit. If your use is mainly messaging, browsing, music, video calls and ordinary HD streaming, the extra cap may not change what you can do.

Felix says speeds vary with device capability, location, network congestion and coverage. Treat every “up to” figure as a ceiling under suitable conditions. Check coverage at the addresses where you spend time and confirm that your handset supports the required network bands and 5G service. A speed-test result from one place or one moment cannot establish what you will receive everywhere.
How data banking works on the 25GB and 50GB plans
Felix says unused included data is added to a data bank when the plan renews. Its plan terms do not state a cap on the bank balance. That makes a capped plan useful when consumption changes by month: a low-use month can build a reserve for travel, festivals, software updates or a temporary increase in streaming.
Banking is not the same as unlimited data. You draw from the monthly allowance and then the banked balance. If both are exhausted, Felix says the service continues at up to 1.5Mbps. That reduced speed is intended for basic browsing and music, not HD video. Video may buffer, lower its quality or fail to play smoothly at that rate.

An optional extra 10GB costs $10 according to the plan overview. Before buying an add-on, check whether your current month’s allowance and banked data are genuinely exhausted and whether switching to a higher tier would be better value for your expected pattern of use.
Who benefits from banking
- Irregular users: You use little data in some months and much more in others.
- People near the 25GB boundary: The bank can cover occasional spikes without paying for unlimited service every month.
- Users who prefer a speed cap higher than 40Mbps: Capped plans advertise up to 150Mbps while allowance remains.
Who may prefer unlimited data
- Heavy, consistent users: You exceed 50GB often enough that banking does not solve the problem.
- People who do not want to monitor usage: Unlimited removes allowance calculations, although it still has a speed ceiling.
- Households using a phone temporarily: Unlimited can be convenient for a short period, but Felix says its mobile plans are not intended to replace home internet.
Comparing the recurring monthly cost
Use the standard renewal price for a fair comparison. Felix lists the following recurring figures:
| Change | Monthly increase | What you receive |
|---|---|---|
| 25GB to 50GB | $5 | 25GB more monthly allowance; the same advertised speed cap |
| 50GB to Unlimited | $5 | No allowance to monitor; advertised cap falls from 150Mbps to 40Mbps |
| Unlimited to Unlimited+ | $10 | Higher unlimited cap, from 40Mbps to 80Mbps, with compatible 5G required |
| 25GB to Unlimited | $10 | Unlimited data at up to 40Mbps instead of 25GB at up to 150Mbps |
| 25GB to Unlimited+ | $20 | Unlimited data at up to 80Mbps instead of 25GB at up to 150Mbps |
These are monthly differences, so the annualized standard spend is $360 for 25GB, $420 for 50GB, $480 for Unlimited and $600 for Unlimited+, assuming the prices remain unchanged for 12 renewals. Felix says plans renew monthly, can be cancelled without exit fees and may have their prices changed. The annual figures are therefore arithmetic illustrations, not a fixed-term quote.
Promotional prices versus the price you keep paying
Eligible new customers may see a lower introductory price for a defined period. Record three details before treating an offer as a saving:
- Confirm who qualifies, such as a new customer or a particular sign-up channel.
- Write down the exact promotional amount and the number of discounted renewals.
- Check the standard price that applies after the promotion and use that figure in your long-term budget.
Felix’s January 2026 notice illustrates why this distinction matters. Some long-standing Unlimited customers had received a $5 monthly discount after the standard price moved from $35 to $40 in September 2023. The notice said those customers’ renewal payments rose to $40 for renewals on or after 5 January 2026. That historical adjustment is not a new-customer price; the current plan overview’s standard price is the appropriate baseline for a fresh comparison.

Which plan fits common usage patterns?
Light or moderate phone use: 25GB
Choose 25GB when your normal use fits comfortably below the allowance and you value the ability to bank what you do not consume. The plan is $30 per month and has the same advertised maximum speed as the 50GB tier. It is the lowest-cost option in the listed lineup, provided you can avoid repeatedly exhausting both your monthly and banked data.
Regularly above 25GB: 50GB
At $35 per month, 50GB is a straightforward $5 step up from 25GB. It is suitable when you often approach 25GB, use your phone for frequent video or hotspot sessions, or want a larger reserve without accepting the 40Mbps cap on Unlimited. You still receive data banking and the advertised up-to-150Mbps maximum.
Unpredictable or very heavy use: Unlimited
Unlimited costs $40 per month and removes the need to estimate whether your monthly allowance will last. Its up-to-40Mbps cap supports the activity levels Felix describes, including HD video, music, social browsing and video calls. Select it when predictable billing and no data ceiling matter more than the higher maximum available on capped plans.
Large transfers on 5G: Unlimited+
Unlimited+ costs $50 per month and raises the advertised unlimited speed cap to 80Mbps. It is the specialist choice for repeated large downloads or uploads when you have a compatible 5G handset and reliable 5G coverage. If those conditions are absent, the extra $10 cannot deliver the advertised 80Mbps experience.

Start with the file sizes and frequency, not the headline number. The difference is a speed ceiling: 40Mbps versus 80Mbps. Both plans include unlimited data, and neither is intended to function as a replacement for fixed home broadband.

Unlimited+ is easier to justify when you regularly wait for large downloads, move substantial files to cloud storage or use a phone connection for demanding mobile work. Doubling the cap can reduce transfer time when the network and remote server can supply that throughput. It is harder to justify for activities whose requirements are far below 40Mbps, such as music, social browsing, messaging and ordinary HD video.
Because the 80Mbps figure depends on a compatible 5G device and 5G coverage, check those prerequisites before comparing the price. Also remember that congestion or a weak signal can prevent either unlimited plan from reaching its cap.
Device, coverage and hotspot checks
Device compatibility
The capped plans’ 150Mbps listing refers to compatible 5G/4G devices. Unlimited+ specifically requires a compatible 5G device. An unlocked 5G smartphone may be necessary if your current phone cannot use the required network, but do not buy a handset solely from its “5G” label: compatibility depends on the supported bands, software configuration and Felix’s network requirements.
Coverage at your real locations
Check service where you live, work and commute. Felix notes that 5G is available only in select areas and on compatible devices. A plan that looks attractive on paper may behave like a lower-speed connection if you spend most of your time outside 5G coverage or inside buildings that weaken the signal.
Hotspot and fair-use limits
Felix’s unlimited mobile plans are for mobile use and must not be used as a substitute for home internet. Tethering or hotspotting is subject to the personal-device and Fair Use Policy conditions in the plan terms. Read those conditions before planning to connect a laptop, television or multiple devices for sustained household traffic.
A practical decision process
- Estimate your actual data use. Review at least two or three recent billing periods in your phone’s data settings. Separate cellular usage from Wi-Fi so the estimate reflects what Felix must carry.
- Check whether usage is steady or seasonal. If low months can offset high months, data banking on 25GB or 50GB may be valuable.
- Identify speed-sensitive tasks. Note the size and frequency of downloads, uploads, game updates and backups. Do not treat ordinary HD streaming as evidence that you need 80Mbps.
- Verify coverage and handset compatibility. This is essential for the advertised 150Mbps and 80Mbps ceilings, especially the 5G requirement on Unlimited+.
- Compare standard renewal prices. Put any promotional amount in a separate line from the post-promotion price.
- Check hotspot plans before substituting for broadband. Confirm that your intended tethering pattern complies with Felix’s device and fair-use terms.
- Recheck the details immediately before ordering. Prices, eligibility, coverage and terms can change.
Common comparison mistakes
- Choosing by “unlimited” alone: Unlimited removes a data allowance but does not remove the 40Mbps or 80Mbps speed cap.
- Reading “up to” as a guarantee: Advertised maximums are not measured averages. Location, congestion, coverage and hardware affect results.
- Assuming all plans bank data: Felix lists banking for 25GB and 50GB. Unlimited and Unlimited+ are described as unlimited-data plans instead.
- Comparing only the first bill: An introductory price may be temporary. The renewal price determines continuing cost.
- Buying Unlimited+ without checking 5G: The 80Mbps cap requires both a compatible 5G device and 5G coverage.
- Using mobile plans as permanent broadband: Felix says its mobile plans are not intended to replace home internet, and hotspot use is governed by plan terms and fair use.
- Assuming a 1.5Mbps fallback is suitable for video: Felix describes that reduced speed as appropriate for basic browsing and music, not HD video.
The simplest shortlist
Pick 25GB for $30 when your use is modest and variable. Pick 50GB for $35 when you need more allowance but want the capped plans’ advertised speed ceiling and data banking. Pick Unlimited for $40 when avoiding data limits matters more than a 40Mbps cap. Pick Unlimited+ for $50 only when large transfers justify the higher cap and your compatible 5G device can use 5G coverage in the places that matter.
These recommendations use Felix’s standard prices and advertised limits available in October 2026. Verify the live price, promotion end date, coverage and terms at sign-up, because each can change.
