Choose whether to merge settings or just show widgets together

Streamlabs describes a Widget Theme as a profile for Alerts and Widgets settings. Its built-in widget-source route uses the active theme; for a widget in an inactive theme, add its URL manually as a browser source. Streamlabs’ merging guide and its Widget Themes overview document these options.
Merge selected widgets into one theme
- Open Widget Themes. Choose an existing theme to receive the widgets, or create a new theme to use as the destination.
- Open the source theme’s widget links. Find the theme containing a widget you want, open its theme actions, then open the chain/link panel to show the share links.
- Copy the link for one widget. Copy the specific widget’s share link, not a link for a different widget.
- Open that link in a new browser tab. When Streamlabs presents the available themes, click Use beside the intended destination theme.
- Repeat for each widget. Copy and apply each widget link separately. The destination theme will hold the selected widgets’ settings. You can delete themes you no longer need after checking that the destination has the widgets you want.
Take care at the Use step: select the destination theme deliberately. The documented process copies an individual widget into the selected theme; it is not a one-click merge of every setting in two themes.
Show widgets from separate themes as browser sources
Use this route when you want the widgets together on your scene but do not want to copy their settings into one theme, or when a widget belongs to an inactive theme. Copy a share link for each widget and add each URL as a separate browser source in your streaming software. Streamlabs says this can be done for widgets from as many themes as needed. Its guide to Widget Themes and how to use them explains that the built-in widget source is tied to the active theme, while inactive-theme widgets can be used by adding their links manually as browser sources.

Streamlabs Desktop
- Copy the share URL for the widget you want to show.
- In Streamlabs Desktop, add a Browser Source to the scene and paste the widget URL into its URL field.
- Set the browser source width and height to suit the widget, then position it in the scene.
- Repeat with a separate browser source for every other widget URL.
OBS Studio
- Copy the share URL for the widget.
- In OBS, add a Browser source and paste the widget URL into its URL field.
- Set the source dimensions to suit the widget, then position it in the scene.
- Add another Browser source for each additional widget link.
Browser sources keep each widget tied to its original theme’s settings, so changing those settings remains a separate task from changing the scene layout.
Check Scene Collection and active-theme settings
Streamlabs Desktop lets users associate Widget Themes with Scene Collections. When you switch collections, Desktop can switch to the associated theme too. If widgets look different than expected after changing collections, check which collection is selected, which theme is associated with it, and which theme is active. The built-in widget source follows the active theme; a manually added browser source uses its own widget URL.

Use more than one custom widget
Streamlabs’ custom-widget guidance says a theme holds one of each widget type, including one custom widget. To use multiple custom widgets, create additional themes and add each custom widget’s URL as a browser source.
