To clear cache on a Fire TV Stick, open Settings > Applications > Manage Installed Applications, then either choose an app and select Clear Cache or choose Clear all Application Caches to clear every app’s cache. Try clearing cache when an app is misbehaving or Fire TV shows a low-storage message; it is a targeted troubleshooting step, not a guaranteed speed boost.
Clear cache for one app or for every app
Amazon’s documented Fire TV menu includes both options. Menu wording can differ slightly by device or software generation.

- From the Fire TV home screen, open Settings.

Clearing one app’s cache is the more targeted choice when you know which app is causing trouble. Clear all app caches if several apps are affected or you want to apply Amazon’s all-app option. When clearing cache may help
Amazon recommends clearing app data and cache to troubleshoot intermittent app issues and on-screen low-storage messages. Its casting troubleshooting also includes clearing the app cache on both Fire TV and the mobile device. For buffering or crashes, cache clearing is worth trying if the problem appears tied to a particular app, but it is not a universal fix. If the app still fails afterward, follow its specific troubleshooting guidance; for Silk, Amazon also recommends restarting the device.
Clear Cache is not the same as Clear Data

What Fire TV does automatically when storage is low
Amazon says that when an app has been unused for more than 30 days and the device is running low on storage, Fire TV’s storage-optimizing feature automatically clears that app’s cache in the background. Amazon says the feature cannot be deactivated; the customer-service page does not state its publication year. This automatic cache cleanup is distinct from choosing Clear Cache yourself. Amazon also describes Auto Offload, a separate feature that may offload infrequently used apps after 60 days while saving login information and settings preferences. Auto Offload is unavailable on Fire TV devices with Kids profiles and on certain older devices, including first- and second-generation Fire TV Sticks and the Basic Edition. Will reinstalling an app clear its cache?
Not reliably. Amazon Fire TV Developer Documentation says reinstalling an existing app does not replace its existing additional user data or cache. The documentation was last updated October 29, 2020. Use the cache control in Fire TV settings rather than relying on reinstalling alone to clear an app’s cache.
