You can vacuum or brush dirty exterior grilles. Midea’s cited guide does not give owners a procedure for cleaning internal coils, so don’t dismantle the cabinet or spray cleaner inside; use the manual or contact support for your exact model.
Check your model before removing parts
Midea dehumidifiers include different designs, including CUBE and side-access models. Filter access and indicator-reset instructions can vary, and pump-filter cleaning applies only to models with a pump. Find the model number on the product label and consult that model’s manual before removing parts. Clean the air filter
- Turn the dehumidifier off and unplug it.
- Remove the filter as shown in your model’s manual.
- Wash it with clean water and let it dry before reinstalling it.
- Reinstall the filter before operating the dehumidifier. Do not run the unit without its filter or filters.
Some models require a filter-indicator reset after cleaning. Follow the reset instructions in your own manual; the cited CUBE guide points owners to its operating instructions. Midea’s MAD50PE1QWT-S CUBE BT User Manual is specific to that model and should not be treated as a universal Midea procedure.

The cited Midea guide says to clean the bucket every few weeks and not to put it in a dishwasher. Check your model’s manual for any additional bucket-removal directions.

Clean the grilles and exterior
For dirty intake or outlet grilles, use a vacuum cleaner or brush. For the case, the cited guide allows water and mild detergent, but do not splash water directly onto the appliance. Midea warns that direct splashing can create electrical-shock risk and may contribute to insulation deterioration or rust. Avoid bleach and abrasive cleaners.
Clean the pump filter only if your model has a pump
This step is for pump models, not every Midea dehumidifier. In the cited CUBE instructions, the sequence is to switch off and unplug the unit, remove it from the bucket, and place it on a flat surface away from electrical components. Rinse the pump-filter mesh; a soft brush or sponge is also allowed. Access differs among models, so follow the pump-filter instructions for your specific unit rather than assuming the CUBE method applies.

What to do about the coils
The cited Midea guide does not provide an internal-coil cleaning procedure and warns against taking apart or repairing the unit. Do not remove the cabinet, spray cleaner into the appliance, or bend coil fins. The guide says frost on the coils is normal because the unit has automatic defrost; frost alone is not a reason to scrub them.
