- On your Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2, open Nintendo eShop using the account associated with your digital Minecraft purchase.

- If the offer is available to your account, select the preorder or purchase option and follow the eShop prompts. In most regions, the Standard Edition is listed as free.

Can you transfer your Switch worlds?
Nintendo says worlds from the Switch version can be carried over to the Switch 2 version. The product information does not provide a detailed transfer walkthrough, so consult the in-game and Nintendo instructions available when you set up the new version. Nintendo’s Switch 2 product listing
What changes in the Switch 2 edition?

Do not confuse this with the older Switch upgrade
