Choose ear-tip size separately for each ear: try every size supplied with your exact Melomania model, then use the one that stays in place and seals comfortably without pressure. If you are replacing tips, check the model name first—Melomania 1/1+ tips do not fit Touch, and tips for those models and Touch do not fit M100 correctly.
How to tell whether the fit is right
A good fit feels secure and comfortable, without needing to push the earbud far into your ear. The tip should seal at the canal opening rather than cause pressure. Test left and right ears independently; it is a practical way to account for differences between ears, not a manufacturer-specific rule for ear-tip sizing.

For Melomania 1, Cambridge Audio says a proper seal should improve bass, make audio louder and reduce outside noise. If sound seems thin or external noise comes through, check the seal and try another size before assuming the earbuds have an audio fault. Fit the tips supplied with your model
Melomania 1
Try the full set of supplied tips. Insert with light pressure only until you feel a secure seal. For foam tips, roll or compress the foam between your fingers first, place it gently, and let it expand. If the earbud falls out or the seal feels weak, Cambridge Audio suggests trying a larger tip; with foam, insert promptly after compressing it. If a tip causes pressure or discomfort, try a smaller size. Cambridge Audio’s Melomania 1 fit guidance describes correct sizing as important for comfort and sound, especially bass.

Melomania 1+

Melomania Touch
Touch uses small, medium and large silicone tips designed to sit at the canal opening and seal out external noise. Cambridge Audio does not recommend foam tips for Touch: as foam expands, it may move the earbud from its intended position, resulting in discomfort or a poorer fit. Melomania M100
The M100 Quick Start Guide illustrates standard-fit tips in S, M and L, and premium-fit tips in S and L. Match the fit to what feels comfortable and secure; do not assume tips from earlier Melomania models will work. Choose silicone or foam where the model supports it
Silicone tips are available in multiple sizes on the 1+, Touch and M100 as described above. Foam is an option Cambridge Audio discusses for Melomania 1 and 1+, where it should be compressed before fitting so it can expand in place. The company advises against foam on Touch because expansion may shift the earbud. Follow the guidance for your particular model rather than treating the materials as interchangeable choices. Cambridge Audio says Melomania 1/1+ tips are not compatible with Touch because the designs differ in shape and size. The company also says tips made for M1/1+ and Touch will not fit M100 correctly because of design, shape and size differences. - Identify the complete earbud model before searching for replacement ear tips.
- For third-party tips, verify that the listing names your exact model. A product listing alone does not establish fit for every variant.
- Check that an aftermarket tip still lets the earbuds sit correctly in the charging case; clearance for every third-party tip is not established.
Comply lists foam tips designed for Melomania 1 and Touch, but Cambridge Audio’s guidance does not recommend foam on Touch. If considering that listing, weigh the model-specific manufacturer advice rather than assuming the product’s stated compatibility guarantees the fit Cambridge Audio recommends.
