On a TV, choose Prioritize Resolution for the higher reported output-resolution target (2240 × 1260), or Prioritize Framerate for its lower target (1920 × 1080). Both TV modes are specified at 30 fps, so the framerate-priority option does not promise a higher frame-rate target. Handheld mode is reported at 1536 × 864 and 30 fps. These are pre-release specifications, not results from a tested launch build.
Which TV graphics mode should you choose?
Pick based on which preset priority matters more to you—not on an expectation of a different published frame-rate target. Capcom specifications reproduced in a September 18, 2026 report list both TV options at 30 fps.

Nintendo Everything’s September 18, 2026 report reproduces Capcom’s specifications. In the reported TV comparison, the resolution target changes, but the stated frame-rate target does not.

The listed values are output-resolution and frame-rate targets, not proof that the game renders internally at a fixed native resolution or holds a perfectly steady 30 fps. Capcom’s caveat, quoted in the report, says: “Render resolution changes depending on system load. If rendering resolution falls below output resolution, upscaling will be applied.” It also says: “Frame rate may drop in some high-load situations.”

That means the resolution number alone cannot establish how sharp every scene will look, and the 30 fps figure should be read as a specification rather than a guarantee under all conditions. No independently measured Switch 2 results are established by the pre-release figures.
Are there separate graphics sliders to adjust?
The available Switch 2 specifications identify the TV priorities and one handheld mode; they do not establish individual Switch 2 options for textures, shadows, anti-aliasing, motion blur, or effects. Capcom’s store page lists PC requirements and PC settings information, which should not be treated as a list of Switch 2 menu controls. See the Capcom Town Store PC product page.

Because the Switch 2 version is still pre-release as of October 3, 2026, no launch-build menu path or post-launch patch behavior is confirmed here. Avoid assuming PC graphics instructions apply to the console version.

Release timing and what remains unverified
Capcom announced the Nintendo Switch 2 release for December 4, 2026, meaning the game has not launched as of October 3, 2026. Capcom says further details may follow, and published specifications may be updated. Capcom’s announcement confirms the date; Nintendo UK’s game listing identifies Switch 2 and TV, tabletop, and handheld features.

Producer Genki Sunano described the porting work in an interview reported by Nintendo Life: “It was this painstaking, and at times seemingly endless, process of making decisions and optimizations one by one that proved to be one of our biggest challenges in delivering a comfortable handheld experience while preserving what makes Wilds feel like Wilds.” That describes development effort; it is not a measured performance result or evidence of stable frame rates.
