There is no verified universal best support loadout in WARDOGS. Choose gear around what your squad needs: an LMG for holding a position, a launcher for vehicle threats, or close-range weapons and explosives for fights around bases. Tools matter too—a hammer helps build fortifications, while a drill supports vehicle repair.
Choose your primary weapon for the job
Hold a position with an LMG
A PKM or another LMG fits stationary overwatch and suppression. The fan-made Loadout Command guide describes LMGs as slow to aim and better suited to bipod-deployed fire than running engagements. If your plan depends on moving quickly between fights, that handling trade-off may make an LMG a poor fit. Check the current build for controls and weapon feel.

Defend bases at close range
The WARDOGS support guide names the M500 for close-range defense around bases, buildings, and fortifications. It is a more appropriate choice when you expect opponents to push into enclosed or built-up areas than when your squad needs sustained overwatch. BLAST’s support loadout guide does not establish a universal weapon ranking.

For anti-vehicle work, the BLAST guide names the RPG-7 and MAAWS. Choose a launcher when the team expects vehicle threats; otherwise, carrying one can leave less room in the build for the tools and protection needed for other tasks. The fan-made Loadout Command guide discusses RPG-7 progression, but unlock levels and costs can change by patch, so confirm access in the live client.
#1 Best Overall
Use explosives to pressure infantry positions
The MGL-40 offers explosive pressure against infantry positions, while remote-detonated explosives and anti-tank mines can support ambushes or cover likely vehicle routes. These are situational tools: mines are most useful when you can anticipate vehicle movement, and explosives suit teams trying to dislodge opponents from positions rather than hold a lane with an LMG.
Make utility part of the support build
Choose a hammer for fortification work
Bring a hammer when building fortifications is part of your plan. The cited support guide describes construction as one way support contributes beyond direct combat. Hammer unlocks and costs may change by patch, so check the current client rather than relying on an older listed price.
Choose a drill for vehicle repair
A drill fits a support role focused on repairing vehicles. If the squad has no vehicle-repair need, prioritize another tool that serves the expected fight instead.
Budget for the complete kit, not just the gun
A community loadout guide recommends accounting for the weapon, armor, ammunition, utility, and the cost of replacing the kit after a death. Its statistics are community-reported and patch-sensitive; it does not provide a verified, complete current support loadout budget. Check current prices and unlocks in-game, and leave enough of your available budget for protection, ammunition, and the tools your role requires rather than spending everything on the primary weapon. WardogsBuild’s loadout guide was last updated September 12, 2026.
Rank #3
Match the loadout to the squad’s immediate need
- Stationary overwatch: PKM or another LMG, with a hammer if the plan includes building fortifications.
- Vehicle threats: RPG-7 or MAAWS; consider anti-tank mines when you can cover likely routes.
- Infantry holding positions: MGL-40 or remote-detonated explosives for explosive pressure.
- Close defense around bases: M500 for the short-range fight.
- Vehicle support: Drill when repairing vehicles is the task.
These are role-based choices, not tested rankings. Available unlocks, prices, and weapon handling can shift between patches, and the cited community guides do not establish one itemized, universally optimal support kit.
