Choose stones by slot, the eligible stats in their tier, and whether the character is being built for PvE or PvP; then check current, dated build evidence before treating any stat as a class priority. NCSoft announced a comprehensive class rebalance and new Stigma skills in March 2026, so older class advice may no longer fit.
Start with the build’s purpose, not the class name
First decide what the character needs to do: PvE or PvP, and which role or activity within that mode matters. The available reference distinguishes ordinary stones from Abyssal variants by their PvP stat mix, but it does not establish which option is best for a particular class, role, or activity. A class name alone is not enough to justify a stone recommendation.

Match the stone to the equipment slot
An unofficial community reference describes Manastones as going in weapons and armor, and Soulstones as going in accessories. It says the two otherwise share roll tables and costs; treat that as the reference’s description, not as an NCSoft-confirmed rule. Compare tiers by their actual stat pools
The same reference separates Lesser, Intermediate, and Superior Manastones and lists Abyssal variants separately. Tier affects both the documented eligible stat pool and the distribution of quality results. Do not assume a higher tier—or a different tier—can roll every stat available on another tier. Compare the pool shown for the specific stone with the stats your build needs before spending resources.

Choose ordinary or Abyssal based on the activity
The reference describes Abyssal stones as adding PvP stats while slightly reducing the chance of PvE stats. Its listed PvP stats include PvP Attack, Defense, Accuracy, Evasion, Critical Hit, Block, Critical Hit Resist, and Damage Boost. These mechanics and probabilities come from an unofficial reference that may lag patches; verify the current item descriptions and rolls in your game client before committing to a choice. The listed PvP stats do not, by themselves, prove which Abyssal stone is best for a given class or mode.
Use this checklist before committing
- Set the goal: Identify PvE or PvP and the role or activity the build is intended to support.
- Check the slot: Confirm whether the item is a weapon or armor slot for a Manastone, or an accessory slot for a Soulstone, using current in-game details.
- Inspect the exact tier: Compare that stone’s eligible stat pool and quality outcomes rather than assuming every tier rolls the same stats.
- Check patch context: Look for class-build advice dated for the current version and, where relevant, for your region.
- Label the evidence: Separate verified current build recommendations from documented stone mechanics and from your own inference.
Why class-specific advice needs a date
NCSoft announced eight enhanced classes in its June 4, 2025 core-content announcement (official announcement). On March 25, 2026, it announced a comprehensive class rebalance and new Stigma skills for every class (official announcement). Those announcements establish that class balance changes; they do not provide Manastone priorities. Treat any class-specific recommendation as patch-sensitive, and do not assume advice from another date, region, or activity applies to your build.

What can—and cannot—be recommended by class
The available evidence supports comparing slot, tier, and ordinary versus Abyssal stat pools. It does not establish current best-in-slot stones or stat priorities for individual classes, whether for PvE, PvP, solo play, or group content. Without dated build evidence for the relevant class, region, and activity, a class-by-class ranking would be speculation rather than a reliable guide.
