Choose based on the activity you most want to return to: Mario Kart World for racing and roaming, Donkey Kong Bananza for exploration that changes the terrain, or Pokémon Pokopia for crafting, building, and restoring a world. The US bundle’s download code lets you select one digital game—not all three—so decide before you redeem it.
Which game fits what you want to play?
| Choose | If you want | The central activity |
|---|---|---|
| Mario Kart World | Racing with the option to explore between races | Race across connected courses, or roam the game world at your own pace. |
| Donkey Kong Bananza | Exploration driven by breaking through and reshaping surroundings | Smash terrain, open routes, and explore an underground world as Donkey Kong and Pauline. |
| Pokémon Pokopia | A life-simulation premise centered on making and restoring things | As Ditto, craft and build while restoring a withered world and befriending Pokémon. |
These distinctions reflect the activities Nintendo highlights in its US bundle descriptions and bundle announcement. They are a way to match the games to your preferences, not a ranking of quality, difficulty, accessibility, or playtime.

What does each game ask you to do?
Mario Kart World: race, then roam
Choose Mario Kart World if racing is the activity you most want, but you also like having the option to explore. Nintendo describes connected courses and a vast environment that players can explore at their own pace. The key choice is whether that mix of racing and roaming appeals to you more than a game built around changing terrain or building a world.
Donkey Kong Bananza: make your own way through the terrain
Choose Donkey Kong Bananza if discovery sounds more appealing when you can alter the environment as you go. Nintendo describes Donkey Kong and Pauline traveling through a subterranean world: Donkey Kong can crash through walls, carve tunnels, punch into the ground, and tear terrain loose. Smashing opens more areas, while Pauline’s singing empowers Bananza transformations.
#1 Best Overall
- Race from one course to another through interconnected paths that span the world
- Traverse mountains, forests, cities, and more—with shifting weather patterns and a day/night cycle
- Ride on rails, jump off walls, skim across water, and more as you race for the finish line
- Take on the adrenaline-packed Knockout Tour—a fierce 24-driver elimination mode
- Explore courses at your own pace and wander the world to discover fun surprises in Free Roam
Pokémon Pokopia: craft, build, and restore
Choose Pokémon Pokopia if you are drawn to a life-simulation premise about creating and restoring rather than racing or smashing through terrain. Nintendo describes Ditto, transformed to look human, working to restore a withered or desolate world through crafting and building while befriending Pokémon. The description establishes the premise, but not a particular pace, difficulty, or accessibility profile.
How to decide if you are still torn
- Think about what you want to repeat. Pick the loop that sounds most appealing: racing and roaming, destructive traversal and discovery, or crafting, building, and restoration.
- Consider the kind of exploration you prefer. Mario Kart World connects racing routes with an explorable world; Donkey Kong Bananza makes changing terrain central; Pokémon Pokopia focuses on restoring and creating within its life-simulation premise.
- Do not choose on unsupported comparisons. Nintendo’s descriptions do not establish which game is longest, easiest, most accessible, or best for a particular age. If one of those is your deciding factor, the bundle descriptions alone do not answer it.
What the US bundle includes—and what it costs
The Nintendo Switch 2: Choose Your Game Bundle includes the console and a code for one digital download, not a cartridge of the selected game. Nintendo’s US product page says the code insert lets you choose one of three games to download from Nintendo eShop.

In its May 12, 2026 US announcement, Nintendo set the bundle’s suggested retail price at $499.99 and said it could save buyers up to $29.99 compared with buying the console and a game separately at MSRP. The announcement listed then-current regular game prices of $79.99 for Mario Kart World and $69.99 each for Donkey Kong Bananza and Pokémon Pokopia. Those are announced US prices, not guaranteed current transaction prices. Nintendo says offer dates and availability vary by retailer, and its bundle page says supplies are limited and actual savings may vary; check current retailer listings before buying.
