Measure the figure as it will sit on display—height, width and depth, including its base and any protruding accessories—then compare those measurements with the case’s usable interior clearance. A case labeled “10-inch” may only accommodate figures up to a particular width and depth, so the label alone is not enough to confirm fit.
Measure the figure and the case before you buy
Measure the collectible in its intended pose, including a weapon, hat, stand or other part that sticks out. Compare all three measurements with the seller’s stated fit limits, and check whether those limits describe the usable interior or the outside of the case. If the listing does not make that clear, ask the seller before ordering.

- Case fit: Confirm the listed usable clearance exceeds each figure measurement; allow for any clearance the maker recommends.

For example, BrickShell’s 10-Inch Statue Display Case is listed for figures up to 10 inches tall, 8¼ inches wide and 8¼ inches deep. Its stated outer dimensions are 10⅜ × 8½ × 8½ inches. Those are seller-published specifications, not independent measurements, so check that the listing matches your figure and shelf.
Choose a format that suits access and display
A lift-off cover is straightforward to remove when you need to reposition or clean the figure. The BrickShell example uses a pressure-fit, lift-off cover and a base described by the seller as stable. That format may be convenient for occasional access; consider how often you will open the case and whether its cover can be removed without disturbing nearby collectibles.

Look at construction details alongside the format. BrickShell lists 5 mm acrylic and snap-fit assembly for this case. Acrylic thickness is one specification to compare, but the available listings do not establish a general durability ranking. Clarity, seams and assembly also matter to the finished display.
Separate dust reduction from UV protection
A case can reduce exposure to dust, but that does not establish how much ultraviolet light it blocks. BrickShell advertises dust and UV protection for its statue case; that is a seller claim, not an independent performance test. If UV exposure is a preservation concern, look for a stated filtering grade or quantified transmission rating rather than relying on a general “UV protection” phrase.

Do not confuse a loose-figure case with a box case
A display case for a loose figure is sized around the figure’s shape and pose. A protective case for an original retail box must instead match the box dimensions. Display Geek’s 10-inch skinny Funko Pop box case is a distinct product for specified boxed formats; its listing provides a fitting guide and cautions against assuming that an unlisted box will fit. Do not use a “10-inch” label as a substitute for checking the particular box’s measurements and guide.

When a standard size is not enough
If the figure’s pose, base or accessories exceed a standard case’s fit limits, look for a larger model or a made-to-measure option.
