Install a matching driver from the GPU maker or, on a laptop or prebuilt PC, check the system maker’s support page for a customized package. If the driver already matches, check compatibility and repair the game rather than assuming you need a new graphics card.
Check your GPU and installed driver version
Before downloading anything, confirm which graphics adapter Warzone is using and which driver version Windows reports. Blizzard Support documents using the DirectX Diagnostic Tool:

- Press
Windows + R, typedxdiag, and press Enter. - Open the Display tab and note the adapter name and driver version.
- If the computer has both integrated and dedicated graphics, confirm that Warzone is set to use the intended dedicated GPU.
Use the adapter name to choose the right vendor and package. A driver number from an old tutorial may no longer be the applicable recommendation.

Activision’s Warzone PC troubleshooting page, displaying a date of 11 March 2026, lists the following recommendations. Driver releases change, so check the linked page before installing.

Activision’s Warzone PC troubleshooting and requirements guidance is the source for these recommendations. Do not install a package solely because its version number is newer: the GPU vendor, exact model, and desktop, notebook, or workstation class matter. Laptop makers may customize drivers, so check the computer manufacturer’s support page as well as the GPU vendor’s channel. Intel specifically directs users to the system OEM for customized drivers or its Download Center for generic drivers. Avoid third-party driver-download sites.
Check whether your PC meets Warzone’s requirements
A current driver cannot make an unsupported operating system or graphics adapter compatible. Activision lists Windows 10 and Windows 11 as supported and recommends keeping either current; it does not support Windows 7 or Windows 8. Compare your specific GPU and system with the current requirements on Activision’s page before treating the warning as a driver-only problem.

Intel’s Warzone 2.0 article, last reviewed on 12 January 2023, says Intel integrated GPUs are not supported in Warzone 2.0 based on Activision’s website at that time. That is a version- and date-specific statement, not a blanket ruling about every later Warzone release; check the current requirements for your game build.

Let shader preloading finish
On first boot, leave the game at the main menu until shader preloading completes. Activision says leaving the menu interrupts preloading and can lead to performance issues.

Repair or verify the installed files
- Battle.net: use the launcher’s Scan and Repair option for Warzone.
- Steam: verify the integrity of the game files. Activision also advises disabling programs that may interfere with Steam when troubleshooting.
These checks address damaged or incomplete game files; they are follow-up steps if the driver check alone did not solve the problem.
Check for software conflicts only when relevant
If the warning or launch problem persists, Activision suggests several conditional checks: add the game folder to antivirus exceptions if antivirus is interfering; update Razer Synapse if you use it; try a Windows clean boot; re-enable ASLR if it was disabled and the game will not start; and temporarily disable NZXT CAM, MSI Afterburner, or Razer Cortex while isolating conflicts. These are troubleshooting possibilities, not proof that any one of these applications always causes the driver warning.

Why the warning may remain after an update
The game may still be seeing a different adapter or driver than the one you updated, the installed package may not match the device class, or your system may fall outside the current requirements. There is also a version caveat: Intel reproduces the wording “Your GPU driver version does not meet the minimum requirements for running Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0” in a Warzone 2.0 support article. That historical message does not establish that every current Warzone build uses the same wording or driver threshold.
Recheck the adapter and version in DxDiag after installation, and compare them with Activision’s applicable current recommendation. If they match, continue with the compatibility, shader, and game-file checks above instead of repeatedly installing an unrelated package.
When to contact support
If the applicable driver is installed, your system meets the current requirements, and the game still fails, contact Intel Support’s Warzone 2.0 guidance directs users to Activision Support after its driver and requirement checks do not resolve the issue. For a crash rather than a driver warning, Activision also provides a PC crash report route from its troubleshooting page.
