Search by EPIC number, personal details or mobile number, then review the electoral and polling details returned. If you cannot find an exact match, try another search method or spelling before treating the record as missing.
Search the current electoral roll
- Open the ECI electoral search. The ECI Citizen Service Portal labels the general service “Search Your Name in Voter List.”
- Choose one of the methods shown: “Search by EPIC,” “Search by Details” or “Search by Mobile.” The fields may vary with the method; when the EPIC search asks for a state, select Karnataka.
- Enter the requested information and complete any verification shown on the page. Follow the fields displayed for your selected method rather than assuming each search requires the same details.
- Check the result for your electoral particulars and polling-station information. The ECI’s March 2023 Manual on Electoral Rolls describes the service as a way to search an elector’s name and particulars and locate polling-station information; use the live portal if its workflow differs.
Choose a search method

If your name does not appear
- Check that the information you entered is accurate, then try a different available search method.
- Try spelling variations of your name and add location information if the search offers it. The ECI’s explicit advice to add district, Assembly Constituency and part details, and to try alternate spellings, is for its separately labeled last-SIR search; the general search may present different fields.
- Do not treat one unsuccessful lookup as proof that you are unregistered. Check the details you entered and use the appropriate ECI service for your situation.
Use the right service for registration or corrections
Searching checks a record; it does not create or change one. ECI guidance identifies Form 6 for new registration. For correction of an existing entry or shifting it after a move, the guidance points to Form 8, submitted online or offline to the concerned Electoral Registration Officer (ERO). The ECI portal also provides application tracking and a facility to request a call from a Booth Level Officer (BLO).

Do not confuse the general search with the 2026 SIR search
The ECI portal displays a separate “Special Intensive Revision (SIR) – 2026” section, including an option to search the last SIR roll. For a check of your current electoral-roll entry, start with the general electoral search. Use the SIR tool only if you specifically need to check that separately labeled roll; the portal information cited here does not establish that its geographic scope replaces the general lookup.
The last-SIR page says its historic roll data is published as received from the concerned State Chief Electoral Officer. Its advice to try alternate spellings and add district, Assembly Constituency and part details applies to that search.

The ECI Citizen Service Portal lists 1950 as its toll-free contact number and provides complaint and suggestion services as well as BLO call booking. It also offers application tracking. These are support routes; the listed information does not guarantee a particular response time or outcome.
