Start by checking which seller took your order: Nintendo Store, Nintendo eShop, Pokémon Center, or another retailer. Each has a different lookup process, and the game’s announced release date—October 16, 2025—has passed. This guide helps you check an existing preorder or resolve an order; it does not treat the game as still awaiting release.
Check the order with the seller you used
Look for the seller’s name in your confirmation email or payment record before signing in. A physical Nintendo Store order is separate from a digital Nintendo eShop preorder, and Pokémon Center has its own order-status pages.

Nintendo Store order placed while signed in
- Sign in to the Nintendo Account used at checkout.
- Open the Nintendo Store, select your account name, then choose Order history.
- Find the order and select View details to see its details and any tracking information. See Nintendo’s order lookup instructions.
Nintendo Store guest order
- Open Nintendo’s order lookup page.
- Enter the order number, billing last name, and billing ZIP or postal code.
- Use the billing details from checkout, not the shipping name or address. Nintendo says the order number is in the confirmation email; if you cannot find that email, contact Nintendo Support.
Pokémon Center guest order
Open the Order Status page for the Pokémon Center region where you placed the order. Enter the order ID and the postal code used at checkout. The Pokémon Center FAQ links order-status routes for the US, Canada, and UK. Pokémon Center says it sends a shipping-confirmation email with tracking when an order is ready to ship. If the page does not clarify the order’s status, contact Pokémon Center support.

What Nintendo Store order statuses mean
These definitions apply to Nintendo Store orders; a similarly named status at another retailer may mean something different. Nintendo’s order-status guide defines its labels as follows:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Order Processing | Nintendo has placed and received the order. |
| Submitted | The order has been approved and is being prepared for shipping. |
| Shipped | The order has shipped. |
| Back-Ordered | The item is unavailable and will ship when back in stock. Nintendo says most items return to processing within 3–4 days and advises allowing a week for back-ordered processing. |
| Canceled | The customer or Nintendo canceled the order. |
| Partial Ship | Part of the order shipped and part has not; remaining items are usually back-ordered or preordered. |
A status other than “Shipped” does not by itself show that an order is lost. Check the order details and any available tracking information.

- Your journey will take you to all manner of sights in the streets arrayed around Prism Tower, including shops, restaurants, and places called wild zones—where Pokémon roam free.
- As you catch, train, and battle Pokémon, there will be plenty of people to meet too—like AZ, the enigmatic owner of Hotel Z.
Digital Nintendo eShop preorders follow a different process
Nintendo’s eShop preorder policy is about digital payment and download—not physical shipping. Nintendo says payment is processed no sooner than seven days before release. The game is preloaded, and play can begin after downloading a small update released at launch. If payment fails, Nintendo says the preorder is canceled. These rules are specific to Nintendo eShop; check another seller’s terms rather than assuming they apply there. See Nintendo’s eShop preorder information.

If the order is missing, canceled, or unclear
- Make sure you are checking the account or email address used at checkout.
- For Nintendo Store guest lookup, recheck the order number, billing last name, and billing ZIP or postal code. Nintendo notes that incorrect details can trigger an incorrect-data error.
- Search your inbox and spam folder for the confirmation email. For a Nintendo Store guest order, it contains the order number.
- If Pokémon Center shows a cancellation, check the payment details and contact its support. Its FAQ says an invalid credit card at shipment can lead to cancellation, and cancellation is available only before processing.
- Contact the seller if the order is canceled, lookup still fails after you verify the details, tracking is absent despite a “Shipped” status, or the displayed status conflicts with a charge or email. Only the seller can check the transaction itself.
