To check whether your PC can run Resident Evil Requiem, compare its Windows version, processor, graphics card and dedicated VRAM, RAM, DirectX support, and game-drive type with Capcom’s published requirements. The minimum tier is a baseline, not a performance guarantee; laptop GPUs and integrated graphics need extra caution.
Resident Evil Requiem PC requirements
Steam and Epic list the same main component baselines. Epic explicitly says an SSD is required; its listing also gives the performance targets below. Capcom’s published requirements are planning guidance, not independent benchmark results.

| Operating system | Windows 11, 64-bit | Windows 11, 64-bit |
| Processor | Intel Core i5-8500 or AMD Ryzen 5 3500 | Intel Core i7-8700 or AMD Ryzen 5 5500 |
| Memory | 16 GB RAM | 16 GB RAM |
| Graphics card | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 (6 GB) or AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT (8 GB) | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Super (8 GB) or AMD Radeon RX 6600 (8 GB) |
| DirectX | Version 12 | Version 12 |
| Storage | SSD required | SSD required |
| Stated target | 1080p gameplay upscaled from native 640p, 30 fps | 1080p gameplay upscaled from native 720p, 60 fps |
Capcom’s stated targets use upscaling, and Steam cautions that frame rate may drop when processing load is high. They are not promises that every PC meeting a tier will hold the listed frame rate in every scene. The listings do not specify SSD capacity or interface, so check your PC and installation needs rather than assuming a particular drive specification.

Capcom recommends using the DirectX Diagnostic Tool (DxDiag) to collect system details. On Windows, open Start and search for “Run,” or press Windows+R, then enter dxdiag. Wait for the tool to gather information; select “Save All Information…” to save a report. DxDiag can report the graphics processor and VRAM as well as other hardware details.

- Check Windows: Confirm that your system is Windows 11, 64-bit.
- Find the processor: Record the exact CPU model, not just the PC’s product name.
- Identify the graphics card and VRAM: Compare the exact GPU model and its dedicated video memory with the table. Shared system memory is not the same as dedicated VRAM.
- Check system memory: Confirm that the PC has at least 16 GB RAM.
- Confirm DirectX support: Check that DirectX 12 is supported.
- Check the installation drive: Make sure the game will be installed on an SSD.
- Compare every item: Check your specs against both tiers. A system that misses a listed baseline deserves caution; a PC that meets minimum but not recommended specs may need lower graphics settings.
For a laptop, note the full laptop model and whether its graphics are integrated or a mobile GPU. A GPU name alone may not reveal its power limits or configuration.
How to interpret a match—and where it can mislead
Minimum versus recommended
Meeting the minimum tier is a useful starting point, but it does not establish that performance will be smooth on every configuration. Capcom’s Steam troubleshooting guidance says PCs below minimum requirements may have poor frame rates or may not run, and that operation below those requirements is not officially supported. If your PC meets minimum but falls short of recommended, Capcom advises lowering graphics settings when troubleshooting performance problems.

Laptop and integrated graphics
Capcom warns that normal operation is not guaranteed on onboard graphics or other devices that share VRAM with main memory. It also cautions that mobile GPUs meeting the named minimum or recommended specifications may not run the game properly because their performance can be substantially lower than that of regular GPUs. A laptop GPU with a familiar name should not automatically be treated as equivalent to a desktop card with that name.
Handheld results are device-specific
PC Gamer’s February 27, 2026 performance analysis reported that its first ROG Ally test struggled even at low settings; a later update said the game ran well on Steam Deck. Those observations concern different devices and software circumstances, not handhelds as a single category, and do not replace Capcom’s requirements.

What to try if your PC is below the recommended tier
- If your PC meets minimum but not recommended requirements, try lower graphics settings, as Capcom suggests.
- When troubleshooting, make sure Windows and your graphics drivers are current.
- If the PC falls below minimum, Capcom does not officially support or warrant operation; performance may be poor or the game may not run.
- If you are considering an upgrade, verify compatibility with the rest of the system. For a desktop graphics-card change, check power supply capacity, case clearance, and slot/interface support. Laptop graphics upgrades depend on the specific laptop and should not be assumed possible.
Can a demo tell you whether the full game will run?
Epic’s store page lists a demo covering part of the game’s early stages, which can offer a hands-on check on your own setup. The page does not say that demo performance predicts every later scene or every PC configuration. Epic also says demo save data cannot transfer to the full game.
Store details can change. Steam lists the PC release date as February 26, 2026; check the current Steam listing and Epic Games Store listing for the latest requirements and availability.

When a game or system behaves unexpectedly
Capcom’s Resident Evil Requiem FAQ explains the manufacturer’s caveats for integrated and mobile graphics. For troubleshooting, Capcom’s Steam support thread recommends starting with the published requirements and provides the DxDiag reporting procedure. Use those published baselines to describe your hardware when seeking help; they cannot determine exact performance on an individual PC.
