Steam lists Windows 11, an Intel Core i5-8400, 16 GB of RAM, a GeForce GTX 1650, DirectX 11, and 10 GB of free storage as the minimum PC requirements for Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse. Its recommended tier raises the processor to an Intel Core i5-10400 and the graphics card to a GeForce RTX 3060. Compare your PC with each requirement individually; a stronger graphics card does not make up for a mismatch in Windows, processor, or memory.

Steam’s listing gives these minimum and recommended specifications. Both tiers call for a 64-bit processor and operating system, Windows 11, 16 GB of RAM, DirectX 11, and 10 GB of available storage; the CPU and GPU differ.

How to compare your PC with the requirements
Check each category rather than judging by one headline component. On Windows 11, these built-in screens can help identify what you have:

- Check Windows and system type: Open Settings > System > About. Confirm that Windows is Windows 11 and look at System type for a 64-bit operating system. Steam also specifies a 64-bit processor.
- Check the processor and installed RAM: In Settings > System > About, compare the processor name with the listed Intel Core i5 model and check installed RAM. The minimum is an i5-8400 and 16 GB; the recommended processor is an i5-10400, with 16 GB still required.
- Check the graphics card: Open Device Manager > Display adapters to find the GPU model. Compare it with the GTX 1650 minimum or RTX 3060 recommended specification. If more than one adapter appears, note which is the dedicated graphics card; the listing does not describe how to assess other GPU models against these named cards.
- Check DirectX: Press Windows key + R, enter dxdiag, and press Enter. The DirectX Diagnostic Tool shows the DirectX version under System. The listed requirement is DirectX 11.
- Check free storage: Open Settings > System > Storage, or check available space in File Explorer for the drive where you plan to install the game. Steam lists 10 GB available space for both tiers.
What it means if your PC meets only some requirements
Treat the minimum column as a set of checks, not a score. For example, a PC with a GTX 1650 but only 8 GB of RAM does not meet the listed minimum across all categories. Likewise, a newer GPU does not resolve a Windows, processor, or DirectX mismatch. Steam’s specification names particular processor and graphics-card models; it does not state equivalencies for every other model.
- All minimum specifications match: Your PC meets Steam’s published minimum baseline. That is not a promise of a particular frame rate or of performance under every condition.
- Some components fall below minimum or are unknown: The listing does not confirm that the game will work on that configuration. Verify model names and memory before treating it as compatible.
- You match the recommended tier: Your listed CPU and GPU meet the higher target, alongside the same 16 GB RAM, Windows 11, DirectX 11, and storage requirements. The specification still does not guarantee a specific frame rate.
Storage, release date, and frame-rate context
For a Steam PC installation, use Steam’s figure of 10 GB available space. KONAMI’s product page separately lists capacity by edition and platform: 8 GB for the standard edition and 10 GB for the Midnight Edition; for Nintendo Switch, it lists 4 GB for standard and 6 GB for Midnight. Those edition and Switch figures are not interchangeable with Steam’s PC requirement.

KONAMI lists the release date as October 15, 2026, and names Steam and Xbox on PC among the supported platforms, alongside PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X|S. Steam currently displays October 14, 2026, so the listings differ by one day. KONAMI also states a listed frame rate of 60 fps, with Nintendo Switch at 30 fps; Steam’s PC requirements do not give a PC frame-rate target. That platform statement cannot predict performance on an individual PC.
