Check a game’s availability in the Xbox catalog

Enter the title in the “Search game title” field. If the results include different editions or similarly named games, open the entry that matches the one you mean.

Use the subscription filter to choose the tier you currently have, and the “Play on” filter to choose your intended device or play mode. The catalog may offer filters such as Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, Essential, PC Game Pass, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows PC, handhelds and cloud; the displayed options can change.

Review the matching game listing and look for any notice that it is leaving soon. Xbox says its catalog identifies games that are leaving, so this check matters if you plan to play later rather than immediately.

Xbox’s availability notice states: “Game titles, number, features, and availability vary over time, by region, XBOX Game Pass plan, and platform.” A match in one region, tier or platform does not establish access in another.

Search the catalog again rather than relying on an older article or saved list. Catalog availability changes over time.

Browse from Xbox.com, your console, or the Xbox mobile or PC app if that is more convenient; Xbox identifies these as places to browse current games.
Deciding whether another tier would help
If the game is not included with your current tier, check Xbox’s Game Pass plan comparison to see whether another plan offers the access or features you want. Benefits and plan details can change, so use the current comparison page rather than relying on a fixed price, game count or older plan description.

What a catalog listing does—and does not—mean
A game’s presence in the library is not a permanent right to play it. Xbox says access can end if the subscription is canceled or expires, or if the game leaves the library. If you are checking for a future gaming session, confirm the catalog listing and any leaving-soon notice near that time.
