Check the bundle’s itemized contents against the exact fighter, stage, costume, or pack you want. Then confirm the listing is for your platform and edition, and check whether your account already owns that DLC. Words such as “Deluxe,” “Ultimate,” and “Season Pass” are not contents lists.
How to verify a bundle before you buy
- Name the exact DLC. Write down its store name and type. A character, costume, stage, and currency pack can have similar names but are different add-ons.
- Open the exact offer for your game and platform. Look for “included in this bundle,” “add-ons included,” an edition contents list, or the publisher’s product breakdown. Check the region and edition shown on the live page.
- Expand any season-pass entry. Open the pass’s own contents list and match your target item to it. Check whether the item is already released, planned, or sold separately; the pass name alone does not establish which content you receive.
- Check your existing ownership. On Steam, open Library, right-click the game, select Properties, then DLC. Steam says this menu shows what DLC you have and whether it is installed. The game’s Steam page also has a DLC management section.
- Compare the offer with alternatives. Check whether the desired DLC is included, whether the base game is included or required, whether the content works on your platform, whether you already own any of it, and whether the pass covers released or future items.
- Re-read the live listing before checkout. Store copy, availability, and package contents can change. A lower price does not prove that the add-on you want is included.
What’s included in this edition? Follow the item list
Use the itemized component list—not the edition adjective—as evidence. For example, KRAFTON’s package guide distinguishes Standard, Day One, Digital Deluxe, and Collector’s editions of The Callisto Protocol, and specifies which editions include a season pass. Those are that publisher’s package definitions, not a rule for other games. KRAFTON’s edition guide.

- TEKKEN 7 on Steam: the Steam listing says the full game, Originals Edition, Season Passes 1–4, and DLC1–19 are included in the edition; it also notes that DLC is sold separately. A separate DLC listing does not mean the content is absent from a bundle, so check both the offer’s included-content list and your account ownership. Steam listing.
- Guilty Gear -Strive-: the official product page provides product, edition, and DLC information, and notes that some Season Pass 5 items can also be bought separately. Verify the individual item and its purchase status instead of inferring entitlement from the pass label. Official product page.
- FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves Legend Edition on Xbox: the listing presents the base game and season-pass characters and stages as bundle contents. Use its itemized breakdown to check for the specific fighter or stage you want. Xbox listing.
Does the season pass include this character?
Find the pass’s component list and look for the exact character or other add-on by name. The Xbox TEKKEN 7 listing, for example, spells out the contents of Season Passes 1–4. The Guilty Gear -Strive- product page notes that some Season Pass 5 items are also available separately. A separately sold item may still be included in a pass or edition, so verify the specific package’s list rather than treating separate availability as proof either way.

If the pass refers to future content, distinguish announced or planned items from content currently available. Buy only when the listing clearly describes the entitlement you expect.
Do I already own this DLC?
Steam
- Open Library and find the game.
- Right-click the game and choose Properties.
- Select DLC to see add-ons associated with your account and whether they are installed.
Steam Support documents this route in Find Downloadable Content (DLC) for My Games. Ownership and installation are different checks: an add-on shown as not installed may still be owned.

Use the current library or game add-ons view for your console account, and compare it with the exact storefront listing. The available platform information here does not establish current menu names or a step-by-step ownership path for PlayStation or Xbox, so avoid relying on guessed labels.
How to compare two editions or sale offers

These checks help distinguish a bundle that is a good value overall from one that actually contains the one add-on you care about. Store examples cited above are US Xbox and English-language Steam pages; contents and availability may differ by region or change over time.
