How do I check TCS dividend eligibility?
- Find the relevant dividend. Open TCS Investor Relations → Dividend Payment Details. Match the fiscal year and quarter, then note the dividend type, amount per share, record date, payment date and deadline for TDS-exemption forms. TCS says dividend dates are also notified to BSE and NSE. Check the live schedule for the event you need; it includes both historical and future event information, not a promise of the next dividend. - Compare your holding with the record date. Eligibility is based on the holder information applicable on that date. For demat shares, the relevant information is the beneficial-owner data furnished by the depositories as of close of business on the record date. For physical shares, the company’s member records apply, subject to valid transmission or transposition requests. These details are specified in the FY 2025-26 final-dividend AGM notice; check the notice for the particular dividend you are assessing. FY 2025-26 AGM notice.
What are the TCS dividend record and payment dates?
The record date identifies the holder list used for the dividend; the payment date is the company’s stated schedule for payment. TCS’s schedule, accessed October 9, 2026, listed these events:

Confirm the payment details linked to your holding
For the FY 2025-26 final dividend, TCS specified electronic payment only. Its notice says demat holders should keep bank details current and physical holders should keep KYC details current. The notice states this payment approach took effect November 18, 2025; later dividend notices may give event-specific instructions.

Check for an unpaid or returned dividend
If the stated payment date has passed and there is still no credit, look for your details in TCS’s unpaid-dividend information and contact its registrar, MUFG Intime, with your physical folio number or demat DP ID/Client ID. TCS says a dividend not claimed within 30 days is transferred to its Unpaid Dividend Account. The company’s FAQ provides the claim route and links to shareholder information. TCS Investor FAQs.
Trace older unclaimed amounts
TCS says unpaid or unclaimed dividends are transferred to the Investor Education and Protection Fund after seven consecutive years. To claim a dividend or shares already transferred to IEPF, use Form IEPF-5 and the applicable claim process described by the company.

Where can I check TDS on my TCS dividend?
Tax deducted at source is separate from whether the dividend was credited to your bank. TCS identifies Form 168 for transactions in Tax Year 2026-27 and Form 26AS for transactions through FY 2025-26. The credit appears only after TCS files its quarterly TDS return and the tax authorities process it, so the tax-statement entry may arrive at a different time from the bank payment.
For earlier-year Form 26AS, TCS gives this Income Tax portal route: E-file → Income Tax Return → View Form 26AS, then proceed to View Tax Credit (Form 26AS). Consult TCS’s Investor FAQs for its current tax-credit guidance.

How much TDS may TCS deduct?
TCS’s FAQ currently states that for a resident individual with an updated PAN, 10% TDS applies when aggregate dividend payable during the tax year exceeds ₹10,000, and no TDS applies below that threshold. For nonresident shareholders, it states 20% plus applicable surcharge and cess, subject to treaty relief when required documents are submitted. These are the company’s current FAQ statements, not an individual tax calculation; residency, PAN status, treaty eligibility, timing and applicable law can affect treatment. Check current rules or seek qualified tax advice for your circumstances.
