Check phone and app usage

Open Settings.

Tap Digital Wellbeing or Digital Wellbeing and parental controls. If you do not see either label, search Settings for “Digital Wellbeing.”

Tap the screen-time graph, usage bar, or app-usage area to open usage details. On some models, tapping the usage-time bar opens the app dashboard.

The dashboard can show overall screen time, time spent in individual apps, notification counts, and how often you unlocked the phone. Samsung’s Digital Wellbeing support guide describes these features.

View your weekly screen-time pattern
In Digital Wellbeing, tap the Weekly report icon near the upper-right corner. It summarizes average daily screen time and the apps you used most frequently during the week. The exact icon or layout can vary by device.
Choose the view that matches your question

Use battery details to investigate power use
For a battery-focused view, open Settings > Battery > View details. Samsung’s battery support guide explains that this screen can show app usage alongside screen-on and screen-off time. It helps investigate battery consumption, but it is separate from Digital Wellbeing’s broader screen-time dashboard.

Check driving activity, if available
Some Galaxy phones offer Driving monitor or Screen time while driving. Samsung says the feature can report driving time, active phone use, apps used while driving, and daily or weekly activity. The phone must be connected to the vehicle via Bluetooth for this driving view to work. See Samsung’s driving insights guide.
When the menu or report is missing

Search Settings for “Digital Wellbeing” if the menu is not visible under that exact name.

Samsung’s current US guidance says Digital Wellbeing features require Android 10 or later. Availability and labels can also vary by wireless provider, software version, and device model.

If the weekly report or a particular dashboard view is absent, the feature may not be available in the same form on your device. Samsung’s regional instructions also describe opening the app dashboard by tapping the usage-time bar.

Set a limit only if you want one
Digital Wellbeing also offers optional screen-time goals and app timers. A timer can limit time in a selected app; you do not need to set a goal or timer just to view usage. Samsung outlines the controls on its Digital Wellbeing page.
