To check whether a Nintendo product is available at the store you plan to visit, search for the exact item on that retailer’s website or app, select your intended location, and review its current stock and pickup details. Nintendo’s retailer directory can help you find sellers, but it is not a live inventory checker. If the trip depends on the item, confirm its status with the retailer before leaving.
Start with the exact product and location
Search for the specific item you want—not just “Nintendo.” Match the name and version carefully: a console model, game edition, accessory, replacement part, or merchandise item may have different availability. For accessories, note the console generation and compatibility information so you do not mistake a similar-looking product for the right one.

Next, identify the particular store you plan to visit. A retailer’s general product page or a statement that it sells Nintendo products does not establish that a specific branch has the item.
Find a retailer, then check its local stock

Open Nintendo Support’s retailer directory and choose a seller that serves your region. The directory names retailers including Amazon, Best Buy, Costco, GameStop, Target, and Walmart, and identifies the Nintendo systems covered.

Visit that retailer’s official website or app and search the exact product name or model.

Enter the ZIP code, postal code, or store location where the retailer offers local availability. Check the status for the selected branch and read any pickup timing, reservation, or collection requirements.

If you need the item for this trip, confirm with the retailer through its current store-specific contact or support channel before setting out. Availability can change, so treat a listing as a current status rather than a guarantee that the item will still be there when you arrive.

Retailer search and pickup options differ. The directory helps you identify sellers; the retailer’s own listing and store-specific confirmation are what matter for your planned visit.
What Nintendo’s own tools can—and cannot—tell you
Nintendo Store app
Nintendo describes the Nintendo Store app as a way to browse and search products, save items to a wish list, and move to Nintendo Store to purchase. Its listed features also include check-in for Nintendo stores and events. The app’s feature description does not say that it shows shelf inventory at a nearby retailer or Nintendo store.
Nintendo’s online catalog
Nintendo’s U.S. store and its exclusives catalog can help you find products and see Nintendo’s own catalog labels, such as sold-out or exclusive. Those labels describe Nintendo’s catalog, not stock at an independent retailer’s branch.

Checking Nintendo’s New York and San Francisco stores
Nintendo’s U.S. retail-locations page lists Nintendo NEW YORK at 10 Rockefeller Plaza in New York, NY, and Nintendo SAN FRANCISCO at 331 Powell St. in San Francisco, CA. Nintendo currently says these stores do not offer online or phone orders. Do not rely on calling either location to reserve or confirm an item; check Nintendo’s current location and event information before visiting.
Nintendo says its official New York and San Francisco locations offer accessories for current systems. For other accessories and replacement parts, it directs customers to Nintendo.com/store. That guidance identifies where to look; it does not promise that a particular product is available.
Check the right regional store
Nintendo’s U.S. store ships to U.S. addresses, while its Canadian store ships to Canadian addresses. Nintendo’s order-support information directs shoppers elsewhere to local retailers for availability information. Use the Nintendo site and retailers for your country, and check their own regional terms rather than assuming a U.S. listing or order option applies where you live.
