How to Check Nintendo eShop Prices and Wishlist Games on Switch

Open Nintendo eShop, search for a game, and read its product page for the current regional price. Save it with the Wish List control, then return through your user icon and Wish List—without assuming Nintendo’s separate website and Store app lists synchronize.

To check a Nintendo Switch game’s current price, open Nintendo eShop, search for the title, and open its product page. The page shows the regular price and, when a promotion is running, the sale price beneath it. To save the game, use the Wish List control on that listing. Later, open Nintendo eShop, select your user icon in the upper-right corner, and choose Wish List.

Prices, discounts, available controls, and notification features depend on your Nintendo Account country and the storefront interface you are using. A wishlist in the Nintendo Store app, Nintendo eShop, and the official Nintendo website should not be assumed to be one shared list.

What you need before checking a price

You only need a Nintendo Switch with internet access and a Nintendo Account that can open Nintendo eShop. The console may ask you to choose which user account to use when eShop starts. Use the account whose country and purchase settings match the storefront you intend to use; that determines the catalog, currency, taxes, promotions, and availability you see.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
  • Internet connection: eShop must connect to Nintendo’s servers to load current listings and promotions.
  • A user profile: Select the profile linked to the Nintendo Account you normally use for digital purchases.
  • Correct country or region: Two accounts can see different prices or even different product pages for the same title.
  • Account access: If you use a browser or the Nintendo Store app, sign in to the same Nintendo Account only if you want to manage that service’s list; the lists are not automatically interchangeable.

Do not rely on an old screenshot, a search-engine snippet, or a price quoted for another country. The figure on the product page at the time you look is the relevant price for your storefront.

How to check a Switch game’s current eShop price

  1. From the Switch HOME Menu, open Nintendo eShop.
  2. If prompted, select the user account you want to use.
  3. Choose the search option and enter the game’s title. Check the spelling and include the edition or subtitle if the publisher offers several versions.
  4. Refine the results when useful. Nintendo’s eShop search supports filters such as price range and genre, which can reduce a long result list.
  5. Select the game to open its product page. Read the price shown on that page rather than relying on the amount displayed in a search result or a third-party listing.
  6. Check the page for edition details, downloadable-content bundles, and any promotion dates before deciding whether the listing is the version you meant to find.

The product page is the definitive place in this process to read the current amount charged by your regional eShop. If the game is discounted, Nintendo’s support guidance says the promotional amount appears below the regular price. The two figures can remain visible together, so check which one is the current sale amount and whether the offer has an end date.

Using search filters effectively

The price-range filter is useful when you know your budget but not the exact game. Select a range, then combine it with a genre filter to narrow the catalog. Search results can still include multiple editions of a title, so open each candidate’s product page before adding anything to your list or buying it.

Searching by the complete title is usually faster than browsing broad categories. For a series with several entries, add the release year, subtitle, or edition name to your search terms. If a title does not appear, verify the account’s country, spelling, age restrictions, and whether the game is sold digitally in that storefront.

How sale prices and regional pricing work

A Nintendo eShop price is time-sensitive and region-sensitive. A promotion can start or end without changing the game’s title or icon, and the amount shown in one country’s storefront does not establish the amount in another.

What you are checking Where to verify it What the evidence means
Regular price The game’s eShop product page The standard amount currently listed for that account’s storefront.
Sale price The same product page When a promotion applies, the discounted amount is displayed below the regular price.
Promotion timing Offer details on the product page Confirm the stated end date or time; a sale is not a permanent price reduction.
Currency and regional availability The storefront opened by your Nintendo Account Country settings can change the catalog, currency, taxes, and whether an offer is available.

Because prices change, this guide intentionally does not quote a fixed amount for any game. Open the listing immediately before purchase, especially when comparing a regular price with a limited-time discount or when your account has recently changed country.

How to avoid confusing editions

  • Read the complete product title; “deluxe,” “complete,” “bundle,” and “upgrade” can describe different entitlements.
  • Check whether the listing is the base game or a package that includes downloadable content.
  • Look for separate entries when a publisher sells a demo, a full game, an expansion, and a bundle.
  • Confirm that the displayed currency matches the country you intend to use for payment.

How to add a game to the Nintendo eShop Wish List

You can normally add a title from its eShop listing or from the title’s product page. The exact icon, button, or controller shortcut can vary by region and interface version, so use the control labeled Wish List (or the equivalent wishlist control) that appears on your screen.

  1. Open the game’s product page using the search process above.
  2. Locate the wishlist control near the title information or purchase controls.
  3. Select the control and wait for the confirmation state, such as a changed icon or a message indicating that the item was added.
  4. If the page offers more than one edition, add the exact edition you want to monitor rather than assuming the list covers every version.

Nintendo’s Japan-region eShop guide documents a controller shortcut using the X button for adding a product to the Wish List. That instruction is explicitly for accounts set to Japan; other regions or interface layouts may show a different button prompt. The safest approach is to follow the on-screen label in your storefront.

If you are using a browser

Nintendo’s Australian support instructions describe adding an item from the Nintendo website while signed in. A browser wishlist can be convenient when you are away from the console, but it is a separate service view from the eShop list unless Nintendo explicitly states otherwise for your region. If you need the item to appear on Switch, check the eShop Wish List on the console rather than assuming that a browser selection transferred.

Where to find and manage your wishlist on Switch

  1. Open Nintendo eShop from the HOME Menu.
  2. Select the user icon in the upper-right corner.
  3. Open Wish List under Account Information.
  4. Review the saved games and select an item to return to its product page.
  5. Use the removal control shown for an item you no longer want to track.

Nintendo’s account-information support instructions describe this area as the place to view and remove eShop Wish List items. If the list is empty, first confirm that you selected the same Switch user account that you used when saving the game. A different profile can have a different account and therefore a different list.

What the eShop list is—and is not

The eShop Wish List is a way to keep product pages easy to find. It is not a reservation, a price lock, or a guarantee that a game will remain available. Adding a title does not purchase it and does not preserve today’s price. You still need to open the product page when you are ready to buy and verify the current amount, edition, and promotion status.

Wishlists on Switch, the Nintendo website, and the Nintendo Store app

Nintendo uses more than one wishlist context. The service you use determines where an item is saved and whether sale or release alerts are available.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
Where you save the item How you access it Relationship to the eShop list Notifications
Nintendo eShop on Switch eShop user icon → Wish List The console’s eShop list. Do not assume it is shared with other Nintendo lists. Not established as a general eShop alert feature in the cited support instructions.
Official Nintendo website Sign in on the website and use its wishlist controls Nintendo support distinguishes this wishlist from the Nintendo Store wishlist; synchronization with the eShop list should not be assumed. Depends on the website and account features available in your region.
Nintendo Store app Use the app’s wishlist after signing in Nintendo UK states that the Nintendo Store wishlist is separate from both the eShop and official website wishlists. In supported regions, the app can notify you about sales and game releases for items saved in its own wishlist.

The Nintendo Store app’s alerts are region-limited. Nintendo’s Americas app FAQ lists supported countries; if your country is not included there, the feature may not be available even if the app can be installed. An app alert also concerns the app’s Store wishlist, not automatically the games saved in your Switch eShop Wish List.

Choosing the right list

  • You are on the console and want to buy later: Save the product in the eShop Wish List and return to it through Account Information.
  • You browse on a computer or phone: Use the website’s wishlist controls, then verify separately where the item appears.
  • You want sale or release alerts: Check whether the Nintendo Store app and its notification feature are supported in your country, and save the game in that app’s own list.

Troubleshooting price and wishlist problems

The game does not appear in search

  • Confirm that the title is sold digitally in the account’s country.
  • Try the full title, a subtitle, or the publisher’s spelling.
  • Clear restrictive filters, then apply the price or genre filter again after the broad result appears.
  • Check age or parental-control restrictions that could hide content.
  • Make sure you are searching in Nintendo eShop rather than a separate website or Store app catalog.

The displayed price is different from one you saw elsewhere

Compare the country, currency, edition, and date. A promotion may have ended, another region may have a different price, or the other listing may describe a bundle rather than the base game. Use the product page opened by your own eShop account as the purchase reference.

The sale price is not visible

  • Reload the product page while the console is online.
  • Check that the promotion has started in your region and has not expired.
  • Verify that you opened the correct edition; a bundle and a standard edition can have different promotions.
  • If the regular amount is shown without a lower amount beneath it, treat the listing as not currently discounted in that storefront.

The Wish List option is missing

  • Open the full product page rather than a compact search-result tile.
  • Check whether your account is signed in and whether the title is available for digital purchase in that region.
  • Look for a wishlist icon or menu entry near the title information; labels can differ by interface and country.
  • Try the console eShop instead of a browser, or vice versa, while remembering that the resulting lists may be separate.

The game is not in the list later

Open eShop with the same user profile used when you saved the title, then go to the upper-right user icon and Wish List. If you saved it through the Nintendo website or Nintendo Store app, look in that same service; Nintendo support does not establish universal synchronization among the lists.

You expected an alert but received none

Check that notifications are enabled for the Nintendo Store app, that the game was saved in the app’s Store wishlist, and that your country is among the app’s supported regions. An eShop wishlist entry alone should not be treated as enrollment in Store-app sale or release alerts.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

A practical routine for tracking a game

  1. Search for the title in the Switch eShop and open the exact product page.
  2. Record the edition and current regular or sale amount shown for your account’s storefront.
  3. Add that edition to the eShop Wish List using the on-screen control.
  4. Return later through eShop → user icon → Wish List.
  5. Before buying, reopen the product page and verify the current price, promotion timing, currency, and included content.
  6. If you need push notifications, separately check the Nintendo Store app’s regional support and save the item there as well.

This routine keeps the price check tied to the storefront that will process the purchase while making the separation between Nintendo’s wishlist services explicit.

Quick checklist

  • Open Nintendo eShop from the HOME Menu.
  • Select the intended user account.
  • Search by title and narrow results by price range or genre when helpful.
  • Open the product page and read the current regular or sale price.
  • Confirm the edition, currency, region, and promotion dates.
  • Use the page’s Wish List control.
  • Find saved eShop items at user icon → Wish List.
  • Use the Nintendo Store app only for its own wishlist and supported-region notifications.
  • Do not assume that eShop, website, and Store app wishlists synchronize.

Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
