To check whether construction affects a University of Washington Seattle campus route or parking destination, start with UW Transportation Services and open any notice that matches your destination or travel date. Then use the current UW Seattle campus map to plan the campus leg. For nearby Seattle streets and sidewalks, check the city’s Project and Construction Coordination Map as well. Recheck close to departure: project dates are estimates, and posted conditions can change.
Which source should you check?
Use the source that matches the part of your trip you are checking. A UW parking notice does not necessarily cover a nearby city sidewalk, and a general campus map does not confirm that a route is open during construction.

| What you need to check | Official source | What it tells you | Important limitation |
|---|---|---|---|
| UW-managed parking, campus access or university services | UW Transportation Services and the matching project notice | University transportation updates and project-specific details about parking, routes and services. | Notices cover particular projects; schedules can shift, and one notice does not establish conditions across campus. |
| Seattle streets or sidewalks near campus | SDOT Project and Construction Coordination Map | Current and future public right-of-way construction and other events that may affect traffic. | It does not replace UW information about university parking or paths within campus. |
| Campus destinations and wayfinding | Current UW Seattle campus map | Destination search, directions and campus features such as parking lots. | A mapped route is not a guarantee that it remains open during construction. |
| Accessible entrances and routes | UW Facilities access guide and map | Assisted entrances, routes without stairs and routes identified for wheelchair navigation. | Terrain and surface conditions vary, and route suitability depends on individual needs. |
How to check UW construction parking impacts and campus route closures
-
Scan Transportation Services updates
Open UW Transportation Services and review current news and parking impacts. Check the date on each item, then open notices relevant to your destination or travel date. A listing about one lot or project is not evidence of an impact elsewhere on campus.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesSpecial offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy. -
Read the project notice for details
Look beyond the headline for the last-updated date, work phases, estimated dates, affected facilities and temporary directions. Check whether the notice mentions parking stalls, accessible stalls, shuttle or Dial-A-Ride stops, bicycle parking, or changes to pedestrian routes.

Las Vegas, Nevada Zip Codes - 48" x 36" Matte Plastic Wall Map- 48 x 36 inches. Printed on polypropylene. The material is stronger than most papers and unlikely to crease or rip. The matte finish eliminates glare, and adds texture to the map. Ideal for display. Please note this map is NOT laminated - the page is not appropriate for dry-erase markers. Flat map, tubed for shipping.
- This map of Las Vegas, Nevada shows ZIP code areas overlaid on a road map. Ideal for planning of deliveries, home services, sales territories, real estate and much more. Base map features include all roads with major roads and highways labelled; neighborhood names; railways; and high level land use such as parks and recreation areas, industrial areas and hospital campuses.

For example, a C10 project notice last updated May 20, 2025 described phase-by-phase parking closures and impacts involving two disability stalls, a Dial-A-Ride stop and bike lockers. Its dates were estimates, and the notice is historical—not evidence that C10 is currently closed. The example shows why reading the details and date matters.
UW’s construction parking policy page is aimed primarily at project managers arranging contractor permits and laydown space. It is not a live visitor detour map; use Transportation Services updates and the project notice for travel impacts.

Plan the campus portion on the current map
Search for your destination building or lot in the current UW Seattle campus map and use its directions and parking features to orient yourself. UW transitioned to a new Concept3D map in December 2025. Its documentation said redirects from older map URLs would remain through June 30, 2026, after which older links and embeds could stop working. Start from the current map page rather than relying on a saved legacy link.

Verify accessible routes separately
UW map guidance describes routes from arrival points such as parking lots and transit stops to accessible building entrances; some routes use elevators inside buildings to navigate campus hills. Consult the UW Facilities access guide for assisted entrances, stair-free paths and wheelchair-navigable routes.

UW cautions that grades and surface conditions vary and that people may need to assess a route for their own needs. If a construction detour may affect an accessible path, check the project notice and current on-site wayfinding rather than assuming the usual route remains available.

Check city streets and sidewalks near UW
If your trip uses a Seattle street or sidewalk near campus, consult the SDOT Project and Construction Coordination Map. It covers public right-of-way projects and other events that may affect traffic, complementing—not replacing—UW notices for campus routes and parking.

What to do if a notice is unclear
- Confirm that the notice applies to your destination and travel date; do not infer campus-wide impacts from a project-specific update.
- Check whether the notice identifies a temporary route or service change, especially for accessible stalls, shuttle stops or Dial-A-Ride.
- Compare the notice with the current campus map, but treat the map as wayfinding rather than confirmation that a path is open.
- For impacts on a Seattle street or sidewalk, check SDOT separately.
- Use posted on-site signs and staff directions when they differ from an earlier online plan.
