Choose Wi-Fi or mobile data
Wi-Fi is the simplest choice when available. Xiaomi documents mobile-data downloading for specific cellular models, not as a universal Redmi tablet option:

For the REDMI Pad SE 8.7, Xiaomi publishes a separate route for Android security updates: Settings > Face data & screen lock > Privacy > Security update > Check for update. If an update is offered, download and install it, and make sure the tablet has enough storage. Follow the labels shown on your own device if they differ.
